As a professional artist for well over a decade, Pakistani musician Rabiee Ahmad began his journey in 2010 as a vocalist, song-writer and guitarist in metal and rock bands, before eventually adding electronic music to his creative repertoire. A well-known figure in his homeland, Rabiee founded Comet Records in 2023 with a focus on progressive house, as well as giving local Pakistani artists a place to call home, alongside other internationally recognized talents. Whether working in solo capacity or alongside fellow countryman and frequent creative partner Auseeb, Rabiee has released a string of superlative releases across the last calendar, perhaps none more notable than ‘Propaganda’, a track which not only launched his Comet imprint, but still sits atop his Beatport Best Sellers. Now, following a well-received remix of ‘Pandora’ by Nikola Jovanovic to begin 2024, Rabiee makes his much anticipated RKP debut with ‘3 Knocks of Mockery’. Beginning with ‘3 Knocks of Mockery’ Rabiee continues to showcase his progressive dancefloor approach. Fluid and energetic throughout, it's a framework of punchy kick drums and chunky basslines which lay the foundation for siren-like synth flairs and acid-inspired chord stabs. Drama and tension build leading into the main break, where Rabiee flexes his creative muscles, crafting a slow and steady build which eventually reveals a finale that’s perfect for those peaktime moments. The second and final selection 'Sacrilege' showcases Rabiee's progressive sound further but with greater atmospheric qualities. Clocking in at nearly eight minutes in length, the Islamabad resident's storytelling ability shines once again, as he delivers an uplifting journey complete with buoyant grooves, nostalgic synths and soaring cinematic-like pads to round out the release on an epic note.
