Phil de Burn – End Credits [Beat Boutique]

DJ Zombi’s Beat Boutique welcomes Phil de Burn to the label for his debut single entitled ‘End Credits’. This is certainly the most diverse package the Israeli label has put out to date and sounds fresh across all spectrums. The original mix is a gorgeous slice of indie dance which is wonderfully laid back yet still incredibly impactful. It’s rippling low end and wondrous arps are a match made in harmonic heaven, while a neatly tailored break delivers just the right amount of emotion.

The remixes offer two entirely different takes with SEQU3L returning to the label for his second appearance. The Indian artist first appeared on the Israeli imprint in July of 2016 with his ‘Far Beyond Saturn / We Believe’ double a-side which was met with both critical and commercial success. Known for his peak-time progressive style we see something much different here with a mid tempo, broken beat beauty of a remix. The overall mood and themes from the original translate well and the beats really pack some serious punch, positively electric in fact. I could see this going down quite well right in the middle of set. Amazing remix from SEQU3L.

The release concludes with man of the moment Chris Cargo who makes his label debut. The Irish artist is fresh off a massive two track EP for his own ‘If You Wait’ imprint as well as a remix for the recently relaunched Magnitude Recordings. The momentum does not stop here as Chris dials in another high caliber dance floor weapon. Full of dark, groovy undertones it’s the melodious break which ultimately captures your imagination, and just long enough before transitioning back to its chugging, hypnotic cadence. A wicked remix from Chris which rounds out an excellent release on DJ Zombi’s Beat Boutique.
