Pal-E – Dreamy Gardens [Genesis Music]

Michael A’s Genesis Music returns welcoming Pal-E back to the label for a brand new single. Based in Jaipiur, Arpit Paliwal a.k.a Pal-E has long been one of India’s most recognized DJs, having shared the booth with Guy J, Cid Inc. Petar Dundov and more. He made his debut on Genesis in February of 2016 with his ‘Magical Mount Kailash’ single and has since been finding a place in Beatport’s progressive house charts with releases on Amber Long’s Modern Agenda and Mystic Carousel Records. Now making his much anticipated return to Genesis, Pal-E presents his new single ‘Dreamy Gardens’ alongside a remix from Nishan Lee.

Aptly titled ‘Dreamy Gardens’ is an enchanting eight minute journey filled with gorgeous motifs and evolving textures. It begins however with a deep, perfectly contoured groove, shimmering percussive waves and dramatic stabs. This anticipatory tone sets the stage for meandering melodies which begin to drift through the framework. Subtle yet emotive, the narrative shifts closer to the heavens before a strong tonal theme enhances the rhythmic core and a dreamy main break seals it’s brilliance. Lovely work from Pal-E.

The lone interpretation is provided by one of the progressive house underground's most hyped names in Nishan Lee. Enjoying a quick rise, the Sri Lankan artist has found his music featured in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo while racking up a discography with releases on Asymmetric Recordings, Soundteller Records and Dopamine Music. Always a consummate remixer, Nishan takes ‘Dreamy Gardens’ into pure progressive territory with warm, rolling grooves and a buzzing atmospheric resonance. The main themes drift throughout the seven minute journey but it’s strong cadence and percussive drive which ultimately shines. Void of any real ‘main break’ the piece strips down, keeping the groove locked while an astral arp tantalizes the senses on through to a hypnotic finale. A killer remix from Nishan which rounds a hugely successful return to Genesis Music for Pal-E. Highly Recommended.
