Nikola Jovanovic selects his 10 favourite tracks on Deep Down Music ahead of ‘Deep Down’ single

To celebrate the release of 'Deep Down', Nikola has curated his 10 favourite tracks on Deep Down Music. Enjoy!

1. Hakan Ozurun - Social Illusion (Original Mix)

I first discovered the Deep Down Music label through Hakan's track "Social Illusion." Hakan's style is instantly recognizable in the world of electronic music with strong bassline and hypnotic melody, and I simply love it. He is such a humble person and has always been eager to share production tips whenever I had questions for him.

2. Dowden - Contiga (Original Mix)

Dowden is arguably one of the most talented and hardworking underground producers in the world. I’ve learned so much from his tutorials and advice, and it’s something I’ll always be grateful for. This track showcases his full potential - deep, mystical progressive sounds with a strong bassline and hypnotic leads.

3. Felipe Garcia (UY) - Odyssey (K Loveski Remix)

K Loveski brings an incredible and distinctive groove to this remix, proving once again why he stands out. I’ve included this track in a couple of my online mixes - it’s just a pure bomb.

4. Fabian Palacios - Reborn (Dowden Remix)

In my opinion, this is one of Dowden’s best tracks. The bassline and dark theme are absolutely captivating.

5. Mystic Mind - Siempre (Hobin Rude Remix)

My Serbian brother Hobin is one of the kindest and most humble people you could meet. I remember hearing this track during Hernan’s live set in our hometown of Belgrade, and I was blown away by Hobin’s signature deep bassline and mystical atmospheres.

6. Nikola Jovanovic - Archipelago (Original Mix)

It’s not the most humble thing to include my own track, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart. When I was creating this song, I poured all the emotions I had at that moment into each note. When Mark uploaded it to Deep Down’s YouTube channel with a video of archipelago islands and a beautiful sunset, he perfectly captured the vision I had while making the track. Being on the same EP as the remixer Jon Cosani was something I could never have even dreamed of. This was definitely my biggest release at the time, and I will be forever grateful to Mark for giving me this opportunity.

7. Hakan Ozurun, Sinan Arsan - 92.85 (Original Mix)

What a bassline and melody! I listened to this track on repeat so many times. These two amazing producers never disappoint. I had the pleasure of working on a remix for Sinan Arsan, and he is both an incredible person and producer. It’s also worth mentioning the entire EP, which features legends like DJ Ruby and Simos Tagias.

8. GMJ - Silver Sky (Original Mix)

Gavin is such a humble human being. I had the chance to meet him in person at a party in Belgrade. He’s undoubtedly one of the best progressive house producers in the world, and he delivers with this track as well. A powerful bassline and his signature hypnotic leads make this track a masterpiece.

9. Venao - Nebular (Hobin Rude Remix)

You won’t find many better remixers for your track than Hobin. He consistently brings his distinctive sound to every remix while still subtly incorporating elements of the original. This track is no exception.

10. Mark MacLeod - Chemical Madness (Original Mix)

I was so pleasantly surprised when I first heard this track! I was used to Mark’s groovy, brighter, and more organic sound, but this one blew me away. It’s a great track for nighttime drives - trust me on that!

I’d like to mention a few things regarding my upcoming release. When I was making the track, there was no other destination I wanted to send it to because I knew exactly whom it was meant for. I’m proud to be on the same EP as my Serbian brother Hobin Rude, who has influenced me so much over the past two years of my music production journey. This EP also marks the final chapter of Mark’s journey at the label, and it’s an honor to be part of it.

Mark has been someone who gave me so much support and embraced my musical style, which is something I will be grateful for my entire life. I’m proud to release my tracks on a label with such incredible producers, but even more importantly, with great and humble human beings.
