Michael and Levan and Stiven Rivic return to their Kunai Records imprint with a brand new single entitled 'Stardust'. The beloved trio began their 2019 journey with projects for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Black and Russia's SpringTube Limited. Now following their well received 'Minotaur' EP for ICONYC Music, Michael, Levan and Stiven land back on Kunai with a new single alongside remixes from Jerome Isma-Ae and Max Graham.

Besting yourself with each successive outing is no easy task but Michael, Levan and Stiven always seem to find a way to continually push the creative envelope. Their widescreen approach often finds them sitting comfortably in a broad range of DJ sets and the deeper 'Stardust' is a perfect example of that. The trippy, DJ friendly intro becomes immediately captivating as an array of wispy atmospherics and cosmic effects create an air of anticipation. Warm, dreamy overlays soon follow and you're effortlessly taken away into a melodic wonderland of sorts. Thick slabs of bass power the low end, pushing momentum forward ,while a dark tonal theme adds nicely to an already engaging storyboard. Subtle yet powerful, the main break melts down to a sizzling underbelly of trippy sonics, before getting washed for a smooth finale.

The first interpretation of 'Stardust' is provided by Jerome Isma-Ae who is making his first appearance on the label. The German artist has a storied progressive house history with countless Beatport chart hits for Anjunabeats, Suara and his own Jee Productions imprint. Now making his much anticipated Kunai Records debut Jerome takes 'Stardust' into his world of pulsating grooves and emotive storyboards. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of tight beats and rhythmic waves merge for the ultimate hypnotic roll, while a narrative of astral designs cuts through the atmosphere for a meditative ride. Otherworldly in nature, a short but timely break brings clusters of percussion, sparking tension before perfectly setting up an atmospheric wave and wondrously epic finale.

The release concludes with Max Graham also making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Stardust'. Much like Jerome, the Canadian artist has been one of electronic music's most recognizable names over the last two decades. Renowned for his open to close sets and releases on Bedrock, Hope Recordings, YoshiToshi and his own Cycles imprint, Max now debuts on Kunai with a stunning rendition of 'Stardust'. Warm, driving and devilishly trippy, it's a cross pollinated construction, effortlessly melding progressive house and techno. Dynamic and punchy from the outset, it's bulbous groove carries a commanding presence, as rhythmic motifs and waves of percussion fill in the framework. Expertly executed, the near two minute interlude proves impactful, resonating with ethereal themes while gently elevating the mood before a drummy build sets up a powerful peak time drop. A stunning remix from Max which rounds out a welcome return for Kunai Records, who offer up one of this year's most star studded progressive house releases.
