Martin Kremser – Zama Zamas [KDB Records]

The latest release on KDB Records welcomes Martin Kremser back to the label for a brand new single. The Austrian artist has been a primary contributor to the German imprint since his debut in April of 2015. Now making his ninth appearance Martin presents his latest single entitled 'Zama Zamas' alongside remixes from Dmitry Molosh and Arude.

Also owning releases on Diynamic, Einmusika and Making You Dance, Martin's unique take on deep house is already much loved. With 'Zama Zamas' we find more of his quirky, melodic brilliance as spooky stabs and devilish electronics fill out a very groovy framework. Ethereal vocals come at timely, transitional moments while it's timeless top line carries much of tracks emotional resonance.

First up on the remixes one of the progressive scenes brightest stars Dmitry Molosh makes his label debut in a big way. Notable releases on Replug Records and Sudbeat Music combined with consistent play and support from respective label owners Cid Inc and Hernan Cattaneo has made Dmitry one of the scenes most in demand talents. His chuggy, electric sound has meshed perfectly with 'Zama Zamas' for another surefire dance floor bomb. Razor sharp synths, rolling percussion and a flair for the dramatic are what stand out most here. A long line of DJs have already lent their support on this one so expect to be hearing it a lot and a quick rise up the Beatport charts is a guarantee.

The release concludes with Arude returning to the label for his third appearance following fine releases on Steyoyoke Black and Dear Deer White. The Ukrainian artist stays true to some of the main themes from the original all while presenting them in a more techno inspired context. The billowing tones get put to good use while a solid arp provides a distinctly modern feel. A well crafted break harnesses some lovely emotion before the dark, cavernous groove returns for what should be a great moment on the dance floor.

KDB has been a label to watch for some time now, a healthy combination of fresh talent along with more established artists has made it one of the more intriguing imprints around and this release only reaffirms that. Don't miss it.
