Releases Madloch – Sagacity (Remixes) [Sound Avenue] By Release Promo Posted on 10th June 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release on Sound Avenue finds the label revisiting Madloch's 'Sagacity' EP for a new set of remixes. Originally released in August of 2017 the two track offering found the Belgian artist in the midst of a creative shift. Widely regarded as his most compelling work to date, Sound Avenue now invites Petar Dundov and Anton Dhouran to reinvent the tracks for 2018. The lone interpretation of ‘Nordic Noir’ is provided by Petar Dundov who returns to the label for his second appearance. The Croatian artist would have to be considered one of the most inspiring, original and daring producers of the last two decades. Petar makes intelligent electronic music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds; and with the likes of Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaeno and Guy J singing his praises it would be hard to disagree. Now fresh off the release of his latest Musicman EP ‘Dalmatina/Once We Were Here’ Petar delivers a smooth rendition of ‘Nordic Noir’. On a backbone of tepid beats and organic percussion comes sultry chord stabs and an airy atmospheric resonance. The main break shifts the narrative further into ethereal territory, with rising atmospheres and cascading electronics transferring energy into a timeless third act finale. The lone interpretation of ‘Sagacity’ is provided by Anton Dhouran who is making his Sound Avenue debut. The Parisian artist closed out 2017 on a high note with the release of his critically acclaimed ‘The Myth of Tarae’ LP on Chapter 24 Records. Also owning releases on Diynamic, Einmusika and Hope Recordings, Anton now makes his much anticipated Sound Avenue debut with a gorgeous rendition of ‘Sagacity’. Timeless and haunting in equal measure, it's near three minute intro is unabashedly grandiose before drifting off into dulcet beats and organic percussion. It's free flowing narrative builds as charming choirs, impassioned pads and scintillating arps converge in blissful harmonic unison, as a wall of buzzing sub bass adds the final emotive touch. A gorgeous remix from Anton, rounding out another superb remix edition for Madloch and Sound Avenue.
