Releases Lio Q – Morgana EP [Dopamine White] By Release Promo Posted on 24th June 2020 4 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Lio Q to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist has found a home on John OO Fleming's JOOF Recordings, Balkan Connection, Droid9 and Strangers Beats. Now following a release on Jelly For The Babies' One Of A Kind, Lio lands on Dopamine White with his ‘Morgana' EP. The release begins with the deep progressive vibes of the title selection. Smooth and serene throughout, it carries a lovely hypnotic quality. Warm, driving and layered with great rhythms, it's a heartfelt nine-minute journey. Gentle cascades and a timely vocal sample make for gorgeous moments, before a smooth harmonic line shifts energy into the main break, ultimately ushering in a glowing finale. The companion piece ‘Cirano' follows a similar sonic ethos to its predecessor but resonates on a deeper, more mystical level. Remarkably fluid, it's incredibly meditative, moving through rhythmic pulses and atmospheric phrases, while quirky tones add just the right amount of bounce to the groove. Tasteful modulation elevates the narrative as the break evolves, making for tense moments before a gentle rush sparks a driving finale. It rounds out two classy productions from Lio Q who makes a superb Dopamine White debut here.
