Releases Kamilo Sanclemente – Yavin EP [Univack] By Release Promo Posted on 2nd December 2019 7 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Kamilo Sanclemente debuts on Univack with 'Yavin' alongside remixes from label boss Integral Bread and Sebastian Busto. Long regarded as one of Colombia’s foremost progressive house talents, the Cali resident has found a home on The Soundgarden, Einmusika, and Parquet Recordings, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Now fresh off an EP for Hope Recordings, Kamilo debuts on Univack with 'Yavin'. Sitting firmly in pure progressive territory Kamilo crafts another groovy wonder in 'Yavin'. Bulbous beats, lively drums and chunky bass stabs power what is a robust foundation, while melodious arps fill in the framework. Spine tingling sweeps heighten the senses across a vibrant first act, before a timely break builds just the right amount of tension to shift energy into a groovy drop and poignant finale. The companion piece ‘Lesath’ is a touch more emotive perhaps and sits as a perfect complement to it's predecessor. Once again backed by a hearty groove, it’s a maze of detailed percussion and warm bass swells that push momentum forward. Kaleidoscopic arps add a dreamy slant to the narrative, while wispy atmospherics and haunting phrases make for many magical moments along the way. The lone interpretation of 'Yavin' is provided by Univack label boss Integral Bread. The Spanish artist has been a fixture of the progressive house underground for 10 years while earning support from the genre's top tastemakers. Always a creative remixer, Integral Bread adds a quirky vibe to the proceedings with esoteric electronics and a chain of mind bending effects. Tasteful harmonics and crisp acid lines converge during a poignant centrepiece, before the rumbling groove returns for an exhilarating finale. Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of 'Lesath' is Sebastian Busto. Widely regarded for crafting the deep and progressive spectrum’s of house, the Buenos Aires resident has long been a favourite of world class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Also laying claim to an impressive discography of releases on Magician On Duty, Replug, Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden, Sebastian now makes his Univack debut with a gorgeous rendition of ‘Lesath’. Often sitting in the creative space between deep and progressive house, Sebastian manages to get the best of both worlds here with a progressive inspired framework and deeper musicality. His penchant for warm, contoured grooves is what makes this such a dance floor gem. Deep, rolling and with a bevy of momentum it anchors the tight rhythmic core and dulcet hooks perfectly. Perhaps the most emotive moment on the release comes during the break with a breathtaking collage of melody and colour highlighting this gorgeous eight minute journey. Another on the money remix from Sebastian which rounds out one of Univack's best offerings to date. Highly recommended.
