Julien Earle – Close Your Eyes

Julien Earle is one of the artists to watch in 2023, as he has been making waves these last couple of years. Lots of people have watched the production tutorials he shares on YouTube and DJs across the world have played his tracks in their sets.

His new single “Close Your Eyes” is a stomping track with a pulsating groove and driving energy. Julien Earle’s releases have been going from strength to strength and this latest outing has been fine-tuned to perfection.

It’s definitely on the big room side of things, as the style is similar to others such as UMEK or Space 92, but that doesn’t make it any less potent. DJs supporting the release range from Spartaque to Marco Bailey and it’s a weapon that lots of techno spinners should have in their arsenal.

Close Your Eyes has a digitised vocal sample and thundering drums combined with rave-inspired synth stabs and a grinding bassline that’s introduced after the main breakdown. Building momentum with each hit of the kick drum, the breakdown gives a spine-tingling moment of blissfulness before the track plunges back into darkness.
