JFR's Secret Feelings imprint arrives in exciting fashion with a much anticipated single from the label boss himself. Hailing from Argentina but currently calling Spain home, Juan Franco Rivero aka JFR has carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of progressive and organic house, resulting in a string of uniquely crafted records that present a resonant worldly sound. Enjoying a steady rise since emerging 2017, it was 2021 which proved to be a breakout year for JFR, as the Argentine continued his upward trajectory with a standout release for UK behemoth Anjunadeep; a project which would lead to offerings via Clubsonica and Musique de Lune across the next calendar year, and in turn garnering support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Sebastian Leger. Now, as one of progressive music's most hotly tipped talents, JFR launches his Secret Feelings imprint with 'Anatonic', alongside a remix from Greg Ochman.

JFR is one of those artists who has managed to find a nice balance of progressive and organic house in his most recent productions and 'Anatonic' follows that trend beautifully. Played out over seven sun-drenched minutes, a storyboard of processed chimes and timeless tonal themes gets intertwined with chunky basslines and dusty percussion. Sitting at the heart of the journey, a memorable interlude carries youthful spirits with soulful plucks and wavy arps uniting in a clever coax of soft/loud dynamics, perfectly set against a wispy backdrop, before eventually melting down as a rush of drums cues a finale that is equal parts groovy and glowing. Definitely one for all the daytime dancefloors out there.

Making his label debut and providing the lone interpretation of ‘Anatonic’ is Greg Ochman. Hailing from Poland, Greg first emerged in 2021 with a release via Sebastian Leger’s Lost Miracle. Comprised of three tracks, this organic offering would lead to future releases for Clubsonica, Pattenbank, Songuara and Warung Recordings. Now exceeding a two-year creative swell, Greg is widely regarded as one of the more prolific and inventive remixers in organic house. Fresh off his latest vehicle for Paul Thomas' UV, Greg now makes his Secret Feelings debut with a beautiful take on ‘Anatonic’. Staying true to the main themes from the original, Greg beefs up with framework a touch with vibrant percussive arrangements and a healthy dose of orbiting effects, before the main theme shifts the mood into one of hope and optimism. Timely vocal pads and a cavernously calm main break do wonders to create a serene sense of space, a mood which continues to move and shift throughout a strong finale. A stunning interpretation from Greg which rounds out a must have first offering from JFR's Secret Feelings, an imprint which will certainly be in the conversation for one of 2023's best new labels by year's end. Highly recommended.
