Heerhorst & Aves Volare continue their collaborative partnership with 'Domini Mittantur' via John Johnson's ICONYC. Having worked together previously on a release for Stil Vor Talent, the German duo have also enjoyed immense success in their respective solo careers. A collective discography boasts outings for Beatfreak, Einmusika, KATERMUKKE, Senso Sounds Terminal M and Tronic Music. Now combining their musical talents once again they land on ICONYC with a two track artist showcase.

Beginning with 'Mittantur' the duo crafts a proper slice of melodic minimalism. Tough punchy beats, electric rhythms, tranquil arps and a gentle yet ominous overlay fuel a pulsating first act. Drone-like stabs add a massive sense of space, perfectly setting up a second and wonderfully quirky arp, before a cavernous break smoothly segues into an hypnotic finale.

The companion piece 'Domini' follows a similar sonic ethos, making it a perfect complement to round out the EP. Ghostly vocal phrases and a buzzing low end catch your attention immediately, as a fine selection of astral artifacts begins to steal the air. Percussive flurries build momentum heading into the break, where the vocal narrative expands and emotion peaks. Heady modulation makes for a fiery crescendo and the scaled back drop keeps things on the right side of cool. It rounds out two excellent tracks from Heerhorst & Aves Volare, who continue to build on their creative synergy via John Johnson's ICONYC. Highly recommended.
