Releases Haus On Fire – A Storm in a Teacup [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 22nd December 2019 6 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Haus On Fire debuts on Deersky's Soundteller Records with 'A Storm in a Teacup'. Having appeared on label affiliate Provider Music, the UK artist is no stranger to the Soundteller family. It was his 'Awaken' single which launched the label in fact, alongside a remix from Robert Babicz. Now following releases on Armada Subjekt and Fall From Grace, Haus On Fire debuts on Soundteller with a three track artist showcase. Known for his high energy creations, Haus On Fire continues to explore that peak time sensibility across the EP beginning with the title track. Backed by a framework of tight beats, crisp drums and charged rhythms comes indistinct vocals and wonky arps. Fiery rhythms make this incredibly lively, which the 125 BPM only accentuates. The vocal narrative expands during the main break with some lovely layering over a bed of bassy chord changes, before a nostalgic drum roll sparks a massive drop. Marking the EPs half way point are the deep yet energetic vibes of 'Nightfall'. Once again coming in at 125 BPM this is techno inspired roller that could suit a variety of dance floor situations. It's key changing bass is quite powerful and a never ending storyboard of ghostly vocal wails delights across it's seven running time. A semi frantic arp and waves of choppy percussion add nicely to it's charged cadence, while a well crafted break adds just the right amount of drama and tension. The release concludes in fine fashion with the romping mood of 'Existence'. Beginning with bulbous beats, tech house percussion and a distinctive vocal sample the energy rises quickly. A bubbly arp and growling underbelly up the intensity further, as timely modulation keeps the narrative fresh, eventually leading to a final interlude of tonal creativities and a tension filled apex. Groovy and energetic in equal measure, it rounds out what are three massive tracks from Haus On Fire, who makes a strong statement with his Soundteller debut. Highly recommended.
