Franco Tejedor – Antidote (Remix Edition) [Specific Music]

The latest release from Yegor Tsarkov’s Specific Music finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Franco Tejedor's 'Antidote’ EP. Released in February, the well received two track offering now sees new interpretations from Anton Borin and Santiago Forteza.

Anton Borin began his career with a string of well received efforts on Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic’s Mistique Music in 2018. Subsequent releases on OLD SQL Recordings and Smart Phenomena Records eventually led to his Specific Music debut in March of this year with the 'Winter Wood' EP. Now returning for his first remix Anton provides a fresh take on 'Antidote'. Boasting a robust groove and charming musical concepts, it's a nostalgic progressive house feel from the outset. Buoyant and rhythmic across the first act, it's a piece a little goes a long way as evidenced during the main break. Fully saturating your senses with tasteful effects, effervescent arps and emotive chord changes, before eventually peaking as a wave of noise reignites the groove for a stellar finale.

Rounding out the release is Santiago Forteza who returns to the label for his second appearance. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist made his debut on the Russian imprint in March of this year with the 'Pompeya' EP. Also laying claim to releases on Michael A's Genesis Music and Deersky's Soundteller Records, he now returns to Specific Music with a superb remix of 'Puma Punku'. On a backbone of warm beats and chunky bass comes detailed percussion, warm overlays and most importantly a spacious atmospheric narrative. Quite mysterious in nature, it carries the meditative journey, enlightening the mind and delivering anticipatory vibes, before a cosmic break resets the groove for a smooth finish.
