Fernando Ferreyra – Grow Up [Dreamers]

Dreamers begins the new year in a big way with a new EP from label boss Fernando Ferreyra. Although the label has etched ten releases into it’s discography we have yet to see an original project from the label boss himself. As one of Argentina’s most popular DJs, Fernando has gained legions of fans who have fallen in love with his uncanny knack for programming memorable musical journeys. Now presenting his first original productions in well over a year, Fernando unveils his ‘Grow Up’ EP amidst much anticipation.

Spread across three tracks it's the enchanting vibes of 'Wish' that open up the EP. Tastefully tranquil and delightfully deep, it's a glowing musical journey for the heart and mind. Warm beats, redolent grooves and a timeless array of melodic themes unite across this near nine minute journey, with the main break perhaps being the ultimate heart stealing moment.

The tempo shifts down on the EP's second cut 'Going Through Words'. The feel good factor is high on this one and the eventual reveal of a ghostly vocal theme during the break is quite magical, perfectly playing off dulcet tones and glowing atmospheres it sounds tailor made for an sunny, outdoor event.

Dedicated to his daughter, the EP concludes with 'My Little Princess Josefina' which as you might expect carries some heartfelt emotions throughout. An expansive journey at nearly ten minutes, it evokes a father's love for his daughter and the soulful feelings of what it means to cherish your family. Evolving across a remarkable storyboard, beautifully crafted melodies and gentle wind swept atmospheres create a hopeful air throughout, before a stunning break and impassioned finale put on cap on this great musical adventure. With the 'Grow Up' collection, Fernando has not only made a welcome return but delivered his best creations to date, pieces of music that will stand the test of time and find their way into the hearts of electronic music lovers around the globe.
