With a career that spans the better part of two decades, Argentinean artist Federico Monachesi has firmly etched his place within his country's progressive house history. The Tucuman resident lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases via Balkan Connection, Movement Recordings and Sendas, in turn earning him the support of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn and Nick Muir. Operating a creative and prolific level across 2024, Federico ends the year making his Musique de Lune debut with 'Astralum', as part of the label's 'Rayons de Lune' collection.

To celebrate the release of 'Astralum', Federico has curated ten tracks which inspired the production. Enjoy!

1. Satoshi Tomiie Feat. Kelli Ali ‎– Love In Traffic (John Creamer & Stephane 'K' Remix)

Great classic of progressive house and probably the track that best represents the sound I like, hypnotic groove perfectly combined with the vocals and the very fine groove of the remixers make a perfect track for me.

2. Chable & Bonicci – Ride

One of my favorite tracks of all time, I heard it for the first time in a Sasha set. It was a great inspiration with its excellent bass lines and exquisite melodies that take me back to my early years of listening to Progressive House.

3. Dousk - Bubbles

Without a doubt one of the tracks that were a great inspiration when I started producing. Good drums, bassline, atmospheres and hypnotic melodies that work well on dance floors and for listening at home.

4. Sasha ‎– Cloud Cookoo (Luke Chable Remix)

Joya del progressive house, ritmo con mucha fuerza y melodías emocionantes que te hacen viajar mientras lo escuchas. De lo mejor de pude escuchar aquellos años. Grandes recuerdos y una gran influencia a la hora de hacer música.

5. Subsky – Strawberry Fields

Subsky was one of my biggest influences in the early 2000s, Strawberry Fields was without a doubt the track I liked the most at that time. It is a combination of rhythm with melodies, and a breakdown that makes you travel.

6. Sander Kleinenberg – My Lexicon

It cannot be missing in the collection of any Progressive House or Trance fan. One of those tracks with an unforgettable melody. Brings back great memories of my first raves in the 2000s

7. Guy J – Lamur

Another great classic! Guy demonstrates all his talent when making an emotional track, very subtle with a melody and basslines on par with the best tracks of the time.

8. James Holden – Nothing

James is another great influence for old school progressive house producers. Arpeggios, voices and pads working perfectly to make a great classic.

9. Lostep – Burma (Sasha Remix)

Breakbeat masterpiece. impressive track as Sasha has us used to. Emotive pads with harmonies and background voices that make any listener travel.

10. Bedrock – Emerald

One of my favorite John Digweed & Muir tracks. Impossible not to remember it. Track with a melodic breakdown that anticipates the drop that explodes any dance floor. Great influence for lovers of old school Progressive House.
