My mother listened to a lot of disco & trance music and this particular type of sound entered my soul very early. Pomme - je sais pas danser This track teleports me to a rainy day in Paris. I just love the vibe of the track and of course the French language makes me think of my Dad that passed away in 2014. Womack & Womack - Teardrops Back to the disco! I actually first heard this track as an housy edit but I totally vibed with the original as well. The edit: Original: The Embassy - It Pays To Belong A Swedish duo with ”only” 10k monthly listeners on Spotify. In my opinion this song could have been a world hit. The rhythm, the catchy melody and the indie vocals. It makes me feel I’m on the road in a mini van to something special during a warm day in Sweden. Hammerfall - Hearts on Fire My absolute favorite track as a kid. Got the cover art as a poster on my wardrobe and always mimicked the song with my friends. It’s a timeless banger for me, I never get tired of it. Nostalgic af!! The Smiths - There Is a Light That Never Goes Out A bit the same as with ‘It Pays To Belong’. I get the feeling I’m going somewhere. Dreaming myself away. This song always get me in a good mood and I just want to travel the world. Sarah Klang - Ghost Killer This has been sort of a guilty pleasure song for me but recently I’ve just understood that it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. It’s not particularly the lyrics, but the whole vibe is just getting me. You would be able to love this without knowing a single word in English. Fantastic track! Limp Bizkit - My Generation If you ever need a song to make more reps in the gym, just listen to this. I don’t think many have missed this one during the years but hoooly damn what a great band Limp Bizkit is. I always listen to them in the gym to get that extra push. Immortal Technique - Dance With the Devil The darkest song I know. The story telling in this one makes you think every word in pictures. It’s like doing a movie in your head while he raps. And the plot twist at the end of the track is just mind blowing. U2 - Every Breaking Wave Takes me back to my childhood. One of my best friends totally loved U2 when we were young and this particular track has grown on me lately. 'Locate / Among the Gods' is available now via Solis Records: https://tinyurl.com/56jdv9ut
