D-Rhapsody return to Deersky's Soundteller Records with new single 'Hidden Wave'. The Italian duo made their debut on the Polish imprint in July of last year with the well received 'Entropya' EP. Also finding a home on NIkko.Z's Dopamine Music, D-Rhapsody now return to Soundteller for a new single alongside remixes from Ampish and East Cafe.

The Italian duo have explored both melodic techno and progressive house blueprints across their career, often times melding the two together with extreme proficiency. On 'Hidden Wave' we do get something decidedly more techno inspired with tight design, electric rhythms and a wealth of frosty percussive elements. The main themes lend themselves to being quite meditative but the rugged quality of the framework dictates otherwise. What you get is a production that's both highly hypnotic and incredibly powerful. Definitely one to bring a spark to your dance floor.

Returning to the label and providing the first remix is Ampish. The Egyptian artist made his Soundteller debut in April of 2018 with a remix of Echo Babylon's 'Half Man Half That'. Now fresh off an EP for Songspire Records, Ampish returns with a stunning rendition of 'Hidden Wave'. With a slightly more progressive context the main themes translate really well. The rhythm and flow of the piece is full of wonderful swing while those heavily processed sonics keep the fiery, yet hypnotic context of the track moving forward with a peak time ferocity.

The release concludes with East Cafe returning to the label and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Hidden Wave'. The Hungarian artist released one of this year's most memorable progressive house EPs in 'Being Kind Is Overrated' for Superordinate Music, and has also notched releases on Proton's Particles, LuPS Records and Welcome Music. Always a creative remixer, East Cafe now puts even more of a progressive house touch on 'Hidden Wave'. Whereas the previous two mixes were relatively stark this has a lovely emotive touch. The warmth and spacious quality of the groove can't be overstated as it perfectly houses a wealth of reprocessed elements from the original, reinvented in a smoother more creamy context, while the break brings a heartfelt moment to perfectly accent it's quiet calm. An excellent remix from East Cafe, rounding out a stellar release for Deersky's Soundteller Records once again. Highly Recommended.
