Christopher Hermann – Cazibe [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain rounds out the month of September by welcoming Christopher Hermann back to the label for a new single. As one of the label's longer running artists, Hungarian producer Christopher Hermann made his Stellar Fountain debut in 2018 with 'I'm Just a Shadow of Myself'. A well received EP which would lead to two more originals and two remixes over the next calendar year. Now, following releases for Electronic Tree and Future Avenue, Christopher finds his way back to Stellar Fountain with 'Cazibe', alongside remixes from Niko Garcia and Drekaan.

Beginning with the deep percussive grooves of the original mix, Christopher marries big rolling basslines with trippy arps and radiant atmospheres. Expansive at over eight minutes in length, evolving organic arrangements and ghostly choirs add nicely to its meditative pulse, before shifting energy into a captivating break. A variety of strong and soulful instrumentation dominates the interlude, while percussion and cadence stay locked for a slow deliberate build into a tastefully epic finale.

Stellar Fountain debutante Niko Garcia provides the first remix following projects for 3rd Avenue, Nordic Voyage and Suprematic. The Argentinaen artist keeps the smooth flow from the original nicely intact with a submerged groove and roomier framework. The musical themes and drums get dubbed down considerably for more of an atmospheric approach, before eventually taking off after the six minute mark for an ethereal conclusion.

The release concludes with Drekaan also making his label debut on the strength of recent releases for Future Avenue and Stellar Fountain's Black division. The Hungarian artist keeps the deeper vibe of the original and places a greater emphasis on the vocal and atmospheric elements, while a traditional complement of percussion and rolling grooves provide the backbone. Much like the previous mix the break maintains that rhythmic cadence and avoids the strong musical themes in favour of drifting textures and effects to ultimately spearhead a colourful finale. It rounds out three sensational versions of 'Cazibe' which goes down as Christopher's strongest track to date. Don't miss it.
