Releases Christopher Fafa – Cerebro [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 16th June 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Christopher Fafa returns to Deersky’s Soundteller Records for his debut single entitled ‘Cerebro’. The Greek artist last appeared on the Polish imprint in October of 2017 with a remix of ‘Life Goes On’ by Rafa’ EL. Also owning releases on 3rd Avenue and Northern Light Music, Christopher now returns to Soundteller with a new single alongside remixes from Nikko.Z and Ben Shaw. Christopher has evolved a lot as an artist since his first production was released in 2015. The Greek producer’s pure progressive ethos is still prevalent of course but with a much groovier and more detailed aesthetic. ‘Cerebro’ is a perfect example of this with it’s chuggy, floor friendly low end and cerebral effects. The classic emotional aspects of the track are perhaps it’s most alluring trait, with a lone vocal stab and clustered melodies dominating the heartfelt break. The first interpretation of ‘Cerebro’ is provided by Nikko.Z who is making his first appearance on Soundteller. The Greek artist and Dopamine Music label boss has been retooling his sound this year and the results have been quite exciting. Now fresh off a remix for Marc DePulse and Movement Recordings, Nikko continues exploring new sonic territory with his ‘Alt’ mix of ‘Cerebro’. On a bed of broken beats comes organic percussion and off set rhythms. Deep and chuggy, it sets up a gorgeous cinematic break, adorned with icy pads carrying a hopeful resonance into a charming third act finale. The release concludes with Ben Shaw who is also making his label debut. The UK artist is perhaps best known for releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Sasha’s Last Night On Earth but more recently has released an EP on Stripped Recordings. New music from Ben has been scarce in recent years so his remix here is a welcome surprise. The pixie-like vibes are strong on this one with heavy melodic clusters dazzling the senses, as the rolling low end continues to build momentum. The timeless melodic feel from the original translates quite well but with a trippier delivery thus making it a perfect complement. Great remix from Ben which caps off a well rounded release from Deersky’s Soundteller Records once again.
