Choopie & Tom Kin – Licht EP [Agnosia Black]

Following on from the massive success of the 'Chilling Moments' remixes, Agnosia label boss Choopie now collaborates with Tom Kin on a three track showcase of progressive club sounds. Title track 'Licht' is immediately striking with it's warm driving groove, smooth astral arps and cinematic overlays. The narrative evolves with a siren-like lead rising into the main break, raising tension with timely modulation as the groove drops for a huge finale.

'Invisible Bodies' follows with an equally impressive dance floor appeal. The low end stands out from the start; warm and rippling, setting the perfect foundation for an array of finely tuned percussion and acid-like lines to drive momentum forward. Emotive chord changes highlight the main break, bringing a nostalgic atmosphere, before melting down into a percussion drop. The release concludes with the mind bending sounds of 'Aum'. Staying true to the energetic, peak time ethos of the release, it's a maze of percussion and quirky yet emotive melodies which shines here, making for an excellent piece to close out the release. Highly recommended.
