Brian Muszkat – Dancing With Crows [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain welcomes Brian Muszkat to the label this week with his debut single 'Dancing With Crows'. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist is not only making his Stellar Fountain debut but in fact releasing his first official track. Wanting to get his career off to a great start Stellar Fountain has called in two of the progressive scenes finest in Matteo Monero and Danny Lloyd to remix the track.

Argentina continues to produce some of the finest progressive house talent and Brian has certainly made an impact with his first track. Wonderfully produced, it's tight detailed framework is both vibrant and fluid. The groove is also remarkably fresh sounding, supremely rhythmic, with a punchy, perfectly contoured kick anchoring the rippling waves. A spacey theme highlights a short break, transporting the listener into a cosmic environment and perfectly setting up an epic finale. Can't wait to hear more from this fresh talent.

Danny Lloyd provides the first remix and his smooth effortless style certainly lends itself to a lot of the elements in the track. Deeper in delivery, the groove opens up and a more distinct rhythmic theme becomes apparent. The main motif gets rearranged quite nicely leading into the main break, before getting washed away in a hazy atmospheric resonance. It's a gorgeous moment, complete with a strummy interlude before transferring energy into a meditative third act.

The release concludes with Matteo Monero returning to the label and delivering perhaps his best remix of the year. The Italian artist has stayed relatively true to the groove aesthetics of the original albeit with a tougher and heavier delivery which makes it ideal for a peak time dance floor. Fragments of the primary motif dance playfully above the framework while spacey pulses add just the right astral quality. A masterful remix from Matteo and already a hit with DJs so expect to be hearing it a lot in the coming months. It rounds out a superb debut for Brian Muszkat who you'll no doubt be hearing a lot more about in the future.
