The latest release from Stellar Fountain welcomes Billion Watchers to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Russia, Andrey Bogdanov aka Billion Watchers first emerged in March of last year with an appearance on Polyptych's 'New Talents & Friends, Vol. 1' collection, before releasing his first official single in May of 2020 with Euphonic Visions. To round out the year, Andrey then returned to Polyptych with a second compilation appearance via the label's popular 'Decaptych, Vol. 1' collection. Now presenting his first release of 2021 Billion Watchers brings his deep, progressive sounds to Stellar Fountain with 'Growth and Dawn' alongside remixes from Exoplanet and Haievyk.

The title selection captivates from the start with a smooth blend of warm beats, organic drums and buoyant rhythms. Soulful overlays and clustered electronics delight across the first act, eventually leading to a cascading theme which furthers the track's emotional depth. Expanding during the main break, the main melody gets showcased beautifully amidst tasteful effects and rising modulation as the beats drop for an uplifting conclusion. The companion piece 'Snowwave Paper' presents an equally enchanting narrative with it’s perfectly sculpted beats anchoring what is a chunky yet fluid foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are then blanketed with dramatic tones and arcane arps. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with wavy harmonic concepts and murky atmospheres uniting for a groovy drop and meditative finale.

Providing the first interpretation of 'Growth and Dawn' is Exoplanet who returns to the label. The Dutch artist is no stranger to Stellar Fountain fans with this being his eleventh appearance on the Hungarian imprint, while also calling Balkan Connection and Proton Music home. Having produced a wide range of sounds over the course of his thirteen year career, Exoplanet expands his portfolio further with an organic take on 'Growth and Dawn'. With a greater emphasis on the melodic elements, the Dutch artist reshapes the track into a glowing, atmospheric beauty. Most impactful after break, Exoplanet expertly marries those pixie-like melodies with rich chord stabs and effervescent effects for a gorgeous wave of colour and texture to complement the original version.

The release concludes with Haievyk making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Growth and Dawn'. The Ukrainian artist is also no stranger to the Stellar Fountain family, having appeared on the label's Black division in July of last year. Now he follows up releases with Bonzai Progressive and Dynamica with a progressive take on 'Growth and Dawn'. It’s a journey played out over seven magical minutes, as the Ukrainian artist works those mesmerizing lines and soulful vocal wails over deep chugging grooves and lively rhythms, resulting in a heady dance floor bomb. A one-minute centrepiece sits at the heart of the composition, free flowing through a maze of processed vocal refrains, before opening up into a rush of drums as the beats drop for a driving final movement. A powerful remix from Haievyk, rounding out a superb Stellar Fountain debut for Billion Watchers. Don't miss it.
