The latest release from Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint welcomes Artfaq to the label for their debut single. Hailing from Cordoba, Nacho Ferroni and Nacho Varela make up the Artfaq production team. The Argentinean duo have found a home on Clubsonica Records and Dopamine Music where their fresh take on progressive music has flourished. Now embarking on their first release of 2018 the duo make their Or Two Strangers debut with ‘Somebody Else’ alongside remixes from Antrim and Analog Jungs.

Artfaq’s unique style shines through on the original mix with a tight, rhythmic disposition. It’s chugging groove carries a massive presence and is immediately infectious. Luminous effects and bright stabs fill in the framework while rolling percussion keeps momentum building. The break only adds to its brilliance as the melodic narrative evolves into a reflective theme before a layer of chord stabs paves the way to a stellar apex.

The first interpretation of ‘Somebody Else’ is provided by Or Two Strangers label boss Antrim. The Argentinean artist has been enjoying the best year of his career with a broader production scope and continued support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Antrim’s Unofficial remix of London Grammar’s ‘Wasting My Young Years’ has been a highlight in the sets of many top DJ’s this summer and his remix here looks set for a similar fate. With a fuller, warmer and more melodious approach the Cordoba resident has dialled in another perfect summer creation. It’s fluid low end is groovy and emotive while a tasteful take on the lead theme is sure to capture the heart of your dance floor.

The second and final interpretation of ‘Somebody Else’ is provided by Analog Jungs who return to the label for their fourth appearance. Hailing from Argentina, Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte make up the Analog Jungs production duo. Formed in 2015 the Cordoba residents quickly amassed an impressive discography with releases on Balkan Connection, Dopamine Music and Soundteller Records before eventually finding a comfortable home on Or Two Strangers. Known for their organic sound, Analog Jungs provide an inspired take on ‘Somebody Else’ to close the release out in style. Warm and inviting from the outset, the duo rework the lead elements into something dreamier and less indistinct yet undeniably powerful. The main break captures your imagination with blissful motifs and tepid atmospheres before transferring energy into an impassioned finale. Another brilliant production from Analog Jungs which caps off a perfect summer release for Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint.
