Ape Sapiens – Colifa [Stellar Fountain]

After a week off Stellar Fountain returns in a big way with a new single from Ape Sapiens. The Argentinean artist last appeared on the Hungarian imprint in December of last year with his 'Cosmic Archaeology' single. 2017 has been filled with more great music from Ape with releases on Massive Harmony and PHW Elements standing out. Now returning to Stellar Fountain Ape Sapiens presents his latest studio creation 'Colifa' alongside remixes from Pacco & Rudy B and Tero Civill. 

Quirky and cool, the original sets the tone for the entire release with its driving groove, distinctive synths and metallic percussion. The energy is supreme throughout, which a short break keeps nicely intact. Waves of effects dominate a blistering final act which cap off this peak time monster quite nicely. 

Making their label debut Pacco & Rudy B provide the first remix on the release. Always proficient remixers, the Croatian duo rework the foundation into a rippling, cavernous groove which gives the mix an entirely different and equally exciting feel. The main themes are chopped and processed to perfection, distinguishable yet sonically quite different while a well crafted break does wonders in setting up an emotive drop.

The release concludes with Tero Civill also making his label debut following releases on Following Light's Inmost Records and Lincor imprints. The Finnish artist keeps the driving feel of the original nicely intact with a powerful groove and a spooky rework of the main elements. The main break has a trancy vibe of sorts, quite unique in design and the third act keeps your head down with the focus on groove and sonics throughout. A unique and inspired rework from Tero which rounds out a great package from Stellar Fountain.
