Releases Antonator – Swarm [Anto Recordings] By Release Promo Posted on 30th August 2024 4 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Anto Recordings rounds out the month of August with a new single from label boss Antonator. Hailing from Greece but now calling Sweden home, Antonater has been an electronic music producer for the better part of three decades. The Stockholm resident has the distinction of winning Pete Tong's celebrated Bedroom Bedlam competition in 2007 with 'Wonderful Strings', a track which would lead to several Beatport chart successes across the next three calendar years. The formation of his own imprint, Anto Recordings, would follow, in turn earning support from A-list tastemakers in David Guetta, Paul Van Dyk and Sven Väth, amongst others. Now, twenty-two releases deep into the label's discography, Antonator returns to his home imprint with the old school sounds of 'Swarm'. Antonater's craftsmanship reveals itself across the dark monochromes of 'Swarm'. Punchy kick drums and crunchy grooves provide a foundation of jet force propulsions, as squelchy synth swagger, retro acid stabs and driving percussive arrangements build momentum into the break. Prophetic pads only add to it's foreboding sense as the main break takes shape, effortlessly flowing through thought-provoking chord changes, before eventually melting down to the primary synth, as a vortex of drums and white noise spearheads a driving finale, one which will not only bring up the energy of any set, but sits as one of Antonator's most impactful productions to date. Don't miss it.
