Anar & Mika D – Choices We Make [Stellar Fountain]

The latest release from Stellar Fountain welcomes Anar & Mika D to the label for their debut single. Hailing from Mongolia and Hungary respectively, Anar & Mika D first appeared on the progressive house scene in May of this year with a remix of Fabry Carrasco for Superordinate Music. Their first single came courtesy of Vesta Records in July which has now lead them to Stellar Fountain for 'Choices We Make' alongside remixes from Andres W and Volkan Erman.

Although quite early in their musical journey Anar & Mika D have already made their mark on the progressive underground and 'Choices We Make' will certainly resonate with many fans. It's pure vibes are deep yet driving while a hazy harmonic storyboard adds lovely emotional charm all throughout the first act. Spanning close to two minutes the main break is tranquil, serene and completely engaging, it's subtle yet incredibly emotional and the smooth rush into the third act is a thing of beauty.

First up on the remixes is label artist Andres W who makes his 19th appearance. The Argentinean producer has certainly found a home on Stellar Fountain in addition to PHW Elements and Balkan Connection. Andres' smooth sound is perfect for 'Choices We Make' and his remix has turned out beautifully. A touch quicker tempo wise, yet still deep and emotive with a rippling low end and gorgeous harmonic splashes, the latter of which make for an unforgettable storyboard.

The release concludes with Volkan Erman making his label debut following releases on Dynamica and BC2. The Turkish born, Italy based artist has been a staple of the progressive underground for six years and has earned the support of Hernan Cattaneo and Cid Inc. Here he makes his Stellar Fountain debut in style and closes the release out with a cool and quirky interpretation of 'Choices We Make'. The first act comes off quite smooth and exhilarating, before shifting energy into the track's centrepiece. Quite magical, it clocks in at two minutes and evolves from clustered electronics and muted kicks into kaleidoscopic themes, paving the way for emotive swells and a powerful drop. A top remix from Volkan which not only makes for a great debut on the label but rounds the release out on a strong note.
