Releases Amhain & Covsky – Salamander [Musique de Lune] By Release Promo Posted on 3 hours ago 6 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Presenting their second release of the year, Musique de Lune showcases a first ever collaboration from Amhain and Covsky. Hailing from Australia, both Amhain and Covsky have achieved measurable success across their respective careers. As two of their country's most recognized progressive house producers, the duo have racked up impressive resumes. Releases via Balance Music, Mango Alley, Meanwhile Horizons, onedotsixtwo, Proton Music, Sound Avenue and Vapour Recordings, amongst others; sit as discography highlights, while genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been supporters along the way. With 2024 being a memorable year for both Amhain and Covsky, the duo now combine their extensive forces as 2025 takes shape, making their collaborative debut for Musique de Lune with 'Salamander', alongside remixes from Kasey Taylor and Juan Ibanez. The Original Mix lands with many of the duo's most beloved production hallmarks. Warm, fluid grooves combined with balmy effects and airy textures make for a soothing progressive journey, while a strong percussive complement gives it enough bounce and drive to work on a dancefloor. Sitting at the heart of the piece is a ninety second interlude, one which furthers the duo's mastery of building anticipation and emotion through fragmented melodies and timely effects, before an uplifting finale ensues. The first remix finds Kasey Taylor making his label debut following releases for Afterglow, District, Dreaming Awake, Selador, Sudbeat and his own Vapour Recordings imprint which highlighted a prolific 2024. Continuing to operate at a creative peak as we enter the second month of 2025, Kasey delivers a 4AM hypno-style take on 'Salamander' which shines here. The low slung, pulsating bassline which anchors the remix is undeniably a trait of Kasey's productions, and long time fans of the Melbourne resident will certainly recognize that. In addition; a charming, veteran savvy break brings just enough melodic tension to keep it on the right side of cool for a thunderous drop and liquid-smooth finale. The release concludes with Argentinean talent Juan Ibanez also making his label debut with the second and final interpretation of 'Salamander'. Fresh off a year which included projects for Clubsonica, Juicebox Music, Mango Alley, RKP and The Soundgarden, the La Rioja resident continues to project progressive excellence into 2025 with peaktime rendition here. Full of rhythm, groove and melodic firepower; Juan finds a great balance of dark/light and loud/soft dynamics as muscular basslines flow thorough emotive chord changes, while fragmented themes and charming pads highlight a glowing topline. Definitely one to send people home with a smile. Highly recommended.
