Ri Za – Radian [One Of A Kind]

One Of A Kind kicks off 2018 with a brand new single from Ri Za. The Swedish imprint closed out 2017 with perhaps it’s strongest release of the year, a single from the amazing Sonic Future. Now starting the new year with yet another strong release we see Ri Za presenting his newest single entitled ‘Radian’.

Ri Za’s previous single for One Of A Kind, ‘Sitting On A Triangle’ showed the Slovakian artist's progressive house prowess. His latest maintains the same melodic sensibility although over a backbone of something a touch more stripped back sounding. The spacious groove allows the free flowing lead theme to develop wonderfully as neatly tailored hats fire and wavering atmospheres rise. The break brings perhaps the most mystical charm with a hazy resonance engulfing the elements before the groove comes out the other side for a magic moment.

The first remix is provided by Silar who makes his label debut following releases on Bullfinch, BC2 and Groove9. The Canadian artist takes ‘Radian’ into slightly deeper yet quite club friendly territory. Strummy hooks lead the way while it’s warm, chuggy groove and organic percussion carry nicely into a cinematic break, which ultimately seals it’s brilliance.

The second and final interpretation of ‘Radian’ is provided by East Cafe who is also making his label debut. The Hungarian artist closed out 2017 with a string of solid releases highlighted by appearances on Balkan Connection and Soundteller Records. East Cafe's pure progressive vibes are always enjoyable and he's delivered a smooth, energetic interpretation here. From haunting phrases to choral percussion it's energy and flow are undeniable. The break and mellow build keeps things cool and classy before that meaty groove carries a strong third act finale.
