News Allan McLoud shares his current 10 favorite club tracks ahead of Yomo Records debut By Release Promo Posted on 3rd February 2025 13 min read 0 2 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Scottish-born, Zurich-based producer/DJ Allan McLoud has been involved in electronic music for well over three decades. The late eighties found Allan fascinated with the synth-driven styles which quickly found prominence during that era; a sound which led him to begin producing breakbeat influenced electronic music, before eventually finding his true passion in trance. It was a sound which would lead him to Germany where he began DJing in the country's north and building a catalog full of releases supported by the top DJs of the time. Fast forward to present day and Allan now calls Zurich home where he has rejuvenated his studio repertoire with the sounds of progressive house. His energetic melodic take on the genre has served him well, landing key releases for Joof Aura, Droid9, Movemnet Recordings, The Soundgarden and Transensations. This week finds Allen making his debut on Yomo Records with 'Connecting Dots', a peaktime progressive track backed by excellent remixes from Moodfreak and Leah Marie. To celebrate the release of 'Connecting Dots', Allan has shared his current ten favourite club tracks. Enjoy! 1. Nhar - Céleste (Gai Barone Remix) Although this track is G months old, it is still one of my favourites from 2024. This is a perfect example of what a remix should be, an artist's interpretation of the original adding magical dust to make it something special. Gai’s sound selection and arrangement really is something magical. 2. Dowden - An Owl’s Flight The title of this track got me intrigued. An Owl being such a fascinating creature made me think how can you can describe it in musical terms, well Dowden has done just that. Close your eyes and picture an Owl sitting on a tree, turning its head or its unique way to fly in near silence. I just love the hypnotic drive Dowden has created in this track. 3. Moodintrigo & Montw - Zemer (Hobin Rude Remix) Here is a remix from one of my favourite producers, Hobin Rude. Hobin delivers a dark and mystical interpretation using goose bump atmospheres and a dark bottom end drive to which you can't stop nodding your head and tapping your feet. 4. Around Us - Exile Another great track from my good friends Around Us, this is the 3rd track on the Beyond EP out on The Soundgarden. It just has that good mood and be happy vibe, which I listen to a lot in the car while driving. 5. Jody Barr - Cherry Red This is such a brilliant track, the Bassline is so funky and the U0ties trance style break with the choir trance gate is just brilliant (I hope nobody slates me for this description) A very refreshing summer feel track. 6. Guy J - Silver Lake What can I say to this track? The energy created here is exactly what you need on the dance floor in any club. The build up in the break is a hands in the air and let it all go moment. The balance between the Bassdrum and the driving Bassline is perfect. 7. Kiaro feat. Li’lith - You feel all of me (Paul Hazendonk & Return To Saturn Remix) The feeling you get listening to this track is pure goose bumps. I love the original but the Paul Hazendonk & Return To Saturn Remix just gives it the extra little bit of magic and drive which is perfect for any mood. Love it! 8. Jody Wisternoff & Nox Vahn feat. Natascha Polké - Tales From Beyond What a beautiful track from Jody’s Album Welcome to my world. The whole album is brilliant but this track with its goosebump vocals from Natascha Polké is an under the skin feeling that does get me emotional. After the 2nd break you have a complete mood change with a more energetic feel and drive taking your senses to another level. I can listen to this for hours and hours and not get bored with it. 9. Quivver - See Through This has a very nostalgic feel about it. Reminds me of early U0ties RS Records releases with its nice dark organ drive. For me, it’s a perfect booty shaker track. 10. Estiva - Parlez Vous I have a smile when I hear this track and I can't describe why, it’s kinda out of my comfort zone, but it has something that I really can't put my finger on. Music is all about how it makes you feel and this does just that ;) The feel good vibe with a cool vocal and Bassline. 'Connecting Dots' is available now via Yomo Records: https://tinyurl.com/bvb2ke3r
