Grigoré – Witches Stay Behind You (Fur Coat Remix) [Eklektisch]

Electric Drama is the title of Grigoré’s debut on Eklektisch.

This EP talks about the drama everyone can experience someday and the witches (people) who can confuse and poison you on your way. Catchy vocals, melodies and breaky rhythms is what you can find on Witches Stay Behind You and Run Away.

On remix duties, Venezuelan flagship artist Fur Coat, caught by Witches Stay Behind You vocals, delivers a groovy dancefloor track with a very powerful main synth hook.

Outstanding combo for yet another highly talented release.

When Mike sent me Grigoré´s track options to do the remix, I was instantly caught by the vocals in ¨Witches Stay Behind You¨. I knew this had a lot of potential for me to give it a twist remixing it. I think I went with a very clear mind to the studio on what I wanted to do with it. My aim was to do a groovy dancefloor track, with a very powerful main synth hook. For this track I used a mix of analog hardware like my Moog sub phatty for all the low end and basslines, The ASM Hydrasynth for the main hook, combined with some other layers of VST. Also worked with my Elektron Analogue Four MKII to add some other textures. All the drums and other parts of the tracks were made with Komplete, and processing of some of other VST´s I have. This remix really flowed very quickly, I managed to finish it two days later from when I got the parts, for me when I feel the track, I'm really fast on developing the idea. I think Edu and Mike didn't expect to deliver something so fast LOL!
