Continuing a strong start to the year, Stellar Fountain welcomes Nick Lewis to the label for his debut single. The UK born, New Zealand based artist has been a fixture of the progressive house underground for a decade. First emerging in 2012 with a release via Polytechnic Recordings, Nick has gone on find a home with BC2, Droid9, Mirablis Records, Pro-B-Tech and more. Also founding the Emotional Content Recordings imprint, Nick now adds Stellar Fountain to his resume with 'A Quiet Place', alongside remixes from Chris Brid and Mauro Masi.

The original sets the mood for the release with heartfelt musicality, nature motifs and immaculately produced grooves. Sitting in the creative space between organic and progressive house, Nick marries glowing tonal themes with exotic percussive arrangements and fragmented vocals across the first movement. Moderately tense leading into the break, the interlude then serves to lighten the mood further, bringing more emotional depth and ultimately foreshadowing a spirited finale.

Providing the first remix is Chris Brid, who also makes his label debut here. As one of half of the Brid & Synder duo, the German artist has found a place in the world of organic house through releases via Crossfade Sounds, Pirahã and The Purr across 2021. Now getting 2022 underway in style, Chris provides a gorgeous rendition of 'A Quiet Place'. The spirit of the original is well maintained here, with the vocal elements and colourful surroundings playing a primary role in the narrative, while the overall framework does lean a bit further in the organic direction, making for a great complement.

The release concludes with Mauro Masi also making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of 'A Quiet Place'. With releases via 3rd Avenue, AMITABHA, Balkan Connection, RYNTH and The Purr, the Argentinean artist is one of his country's rising organic house producers. World class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have already taken a liking to his work and he continues on an upwards trajectory with a groovy take on 'A Quiet Place'. As evidenced by his past releases, Mauro's proficiency for groove sculpting is excellent and he lives up to that hear with a buoyant, well carved foundation that should bring life to any dance floor. Add to that a gorgeous, reassembled mixture of the original elements and you've got a top notch remix to round out the release on a high note. As Stellar Fountain continues their venture further into organic house, the label is prospering as a result, with 2022 promising to be their best year to date.
