Releases Adrian Pricope & Allen Constantine – Lavanda [Deepwibe Underground] By Release Promo Posted on 5th September 2019 6 min read 0 1 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Adrian Pricope & Allen Constantine return to Deepwibe Underground with a new single entitled 'Lavanda'. Fresh off their 'Album' project the duo unveil a new creation alongside remixes from Teleport-X, Facundo Sosa and Division One. Coming off such an expansive and well received album is not an easy task but Adrian and Allen present something special with 'Lavanda'. Deep and hypnotic from the outset, it's a piece that moves with a smooth, laid back momentum. It's this calculated drawl that provides the perfect backdrop for a plethora of gorgeous musical elements. From a tantalizing piano motif to spiralling arps and wailing vocals it's a gorgeous bland of melody and colour across a perfectly dialled seven minute running time. The remixes bring these great elements a bit closer to the dance floor starting with Teleport-X. Now a regular contributor to the Russian imprint the Argentine crafts another pure progressive beauty here. The drums and rhythmic core gets beefed up a touch with a darker undertone running through the foundation. Percussive flurries and acidic rolls add sizable momentum before a three minute break changes the narrative entirely. Expansive and emotive, it's cinematic appeal is strong, sucking you into it's fuzzy overlays before slowly shifting energy into a purring finale. Meanwhile Facundo Sosa presents a punchy more deliberate approach across nearly ten minutes. Quite nostalgic sounding, it reinvents the musical themes in a less distinct way all while keeping the emphasis on rhythm and groove. Further exploration during the break brings delicate moments as cascading tones add texture and musicality, perfectly setting up a percussive final act. The release concludes with Division One returning to the label for his third appearance. Fresh off a remix for Clinique's 3xA Music, the Polish artist delivers a stomping rework of 'Lavanda'. On a backbone of bulbous beats comes vicious stabs and gnarly swells. Offsetting this however are the poignant musical themes, not only making for a unique contrast but a nice way to cap off a well rounded release. A massive return for Deepwibe Underground who close out the summer season in style. Highly recommended.
