Releases Porra – Feel the Soul [Or Two Strangers] By Release Promo Posted on 30th April 2020 4 min read 0 2 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Antrim’s Or Two Strangers welcomes Porra to the label for his debut EP. The Argentinean artist has compiled an impressive discography since first appearing on Omid 16B’s Alola Records in 2015. The next half decade saw the Buenos Aires resident land releases on Hernan Cattaneo’sSudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur’sPlattenbank Records, while earning support from progressive music’s top tastemakers in the process. Now presenting his first project of 2020, Porra debuts on Or Two Strangers with ‘Feel the Soul’. Porra’s ability to craft evocative musical journeys is highly regarded amongst his fans and contemporaries, with ‘Feel the Soul’ coming in as perhaps one of his most poignant to date. Deep, organic and full of intricate detail, the first act builds with exotic drums, hazy harmonics and a uniquely striking vocal sample. Electronic yet soulful, it’s this distinctive element which sets the stage for a canopy of heartfelt overlays and glowing designs, elevating mood onwards to an exhilarating finale. The companion piece ‘Cut it Thin’ follows suit with an equally impressive display of organic sounds and redolent harmonics. Pulsating yet fluid, it’s a creation built around buzzing synth lines and percussive drive. Soulful vocal wails steal the air with an incandescent charm, as fuzzy arps and metallic artifacts liftthe vibe as the groove resets for a hypnotic finale. Incredibly imaginative, it rounds out two excellent productions from Porra, who makes an impressive Or Two Strangers debut.
