Releases Partenaire – Provocateur [Auditen Music] By Release Promo Posted on 10th October 2019 5 min read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Dynacom's Auditen Music welcomes Partenaire back to the label for a new EP. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist made his label debut in August of last year with his well received 'Youniverse' four track artist showcase. December of the same year yielded a contribution to the label's 'The Future Is Now' collection, which led nicely into 2019 releases on AMITABHA, Balkan Connection South America, Clubsonica Records and PHW Elements. Now making a much anticipated return to Auditen, Partenaire presents his two track 'Provocateur' EP. There's always been a unique atmospheric presence about Partenaire's music and 'Provocateur' certainly exemplifies that. Dark and mysterious from the outset, it's low end rumblings and unique sonic artifacts create a pensive air. Spanning over ten minutes in length it's the track's slow burning drawl which sucks you in. Indistinct voices, percussive splashes and a deeply hypnotic final act highlight this tranquil journey. The companion piece 'Exposure to Romance' follows a similar sonic ethos but with a slight lean towards the more techno inspired spectrum of progressive music. At 125 BPM it's quite pacey but a warm, fluid bassline, rolling rhythms and detailed percussion add a nice hip swinging cadence. Long effects trails quickly saturate your senses while fluttery melodic concepts fade in and out of the framework onwards to a meditative finale. It rounds out two heady cuts from Partenaire which makes for a successful return to Auditen Music. Highly recommended.
