The latest release from Clubsonica Records welcomes Parallel Universe back to the label for a new single. Hailing from Colombia, Ethereal Mist and Mauro Pierotti make up the Parallel Universe production duo. Continued support from progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have propelled Parallel Universe into one of their country's premiere acts. The Medellin residents have found a comfortable home on Clubsonica since making their debut in 2018 with a contribution to the label's ADE Sampler. 2019 saw the duo return with their well received 'Trip | Galaxy' EP, before capping off the year with a remix of Jan Dalvik's 'Mahat'. Now following their 'Nebulosa' EP for Antrim's Or Two Strangers, Parallel Universe land back on Clubsonica with 'Espiral', alongside remixes from D-Nox and Hot TuneiK.

The release begins with the sleek yet energetic lines of the original mix. Sonically charged, it's shapely low end and rolling rhythms converge for a ball of fluid energy. The first act evolves with the dance floor in mind, building waves of momentum as vocal overlays and bubbly arps add to its poignant allure. Putting emotion at a premium, the narrative shifts as cascading motifs take centre stage during the main break, sitting atop melodious bass swells, before a nostalgic roll sparks a commanding drop and spirited finale.

The first interpretation of 'Espiral' is provided by D-Nox who makes his label debut. Hailing from Germany but now based in Argentina, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist has lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock Records, Selador and Sudbeat Music. Now making a welcome debut on Clubsonica, D-Nox delivers a stunning rendition of 'Espiral'. Taking a cue from the original while adding a techno state of mind, the Buenos Aires resident carves out a dynamic groove adorned with firing percussive, squelchy lines and fresh rhythmic themes. Vocal overlays provide a unique emotional response across the first act, as placid pads create a bridge into the main break. Compelling and poignant, the centrepiece is an enlightening experience, with its hopeful air, symphonic themes and classy build ending in an arp driven drop and energetic final movement.

Returning to the label and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Espiral' is Hot TuneiK. The Mexican artist and Guateque Music label boss has become one of the progressive scenes most in demand artists. His rich, groovy sound crosses over into the deeper spectrum of the genre quite nicely and it's made him a favourite amongst a broad range of DJs. Having made his Clubsonica debut in 2019 with a remix of Andre Sobota's 'Prescience', Hot TuneiK now returns with an inspired take on 'Espiral'. Engaging from the outset, warm beats and meditative pulses converge for a sultry foundation, while exotic percussion and astral sonics bring rhythm and texture. Building a poignant narrative, the main arp and fragmented vocals lead into the main break, where the arp percolates amidst a haze of harmonic colour, opening up for moments of reflective warmth, before a rush of noise sparks an energy bridge into a purring finale. A gorgeous remix from Hot TuneiK which rounds out a welcome return to Clubsonica for Parallel Universe.
