Marcan Liav – Oucha (Sobek Remix) [Stripped Recordings]

Spring 2021 saw french producer / dj Marcan Liav release his acclaimed debut long-player "Sanctuary" and now just over a year later after much hard work behind the scenes we are proud present the second of four Sanctuary: Remixed EP's.

Remixed II see's five more reworks of album tracks from a strong selection of studio wizards. First up we have brought in Danish producer Nandu to bring his magic formula to the track "Jeanne". The Dane who's quality productions have seen him grace some of the scenes most reputable labels Innervisions, Afterlife, Watergate and TAU to name just three.

Next up adding his sparkle to the track "Oucha" is Hungarian producer Sobek (named after the Egyptian crocodile god). With this remix he demonstrates the style which has seen him ply his trade on credible imprints such as Get Physical, Multitones, Sol Selectas, Monaberry, and Mo Black.

Remix number three comes via a duo making their Stripped Recordings debut and we are delighted to welcome onboard UK production duo Framewerk (aka Darren James and Alec Milliner) who take on the track "Epiderme" this being the first of two mixes of the track from them. The lads have been long establishing an eclectic electronic style that defies genres yet maintains a deep distinctive atmosphere throughout all their music which is totally evident here. As well as their own imprint Capital Heaven their music has found it's way onto Bedrock, Global Underground, Renaissance, Toolroom and more.

The fourth remix takes us to Melbourne, Australia and someone who has graced the label in the past with some outstanding remix work. Jamie Stevens is a man who's reputation precedes him and again the proof is there for all to hear as he takes on the track "Bloody Heart" . Jamie has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his three-decade long career. As one of his country's most talented and sought-after artists, Jamie has proven his skill in professional sound design, film scores and contemporary electronic music. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Jamie has enjoyed a creative swell in recent years, landing releases via Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream, John Digweed's Bedrock Records and Guy J's Lost and Found.

Completing the package we are excited to turn to Circulation to give us his take on the track "Matt Meets the Night". For nine exceptional years after first emerging in 1998, UK electronic artist Paul Davis was a true underground pioneer. He released 45 cult EPs as Circulation with former partner Matt Jackson and headlined clubs like fabric and major festivals around the world. In the summer of 2021, after falling back in love with music during the pandemic, he returned to the scene to deliver fresh new music and proving he can still nail a sweet dance floor groove.
