From the 4th to 7th of April 2018, 29 labels lead Lisboa Electronica Musiculture bill. This list includes трип, Clone Records, Pole Group, Werk Discs, Half Baked, Slow Life, Assemble Music and more - with each imprint showcasing their best talent. Between Ministerium Club and the industrial LX Factory, you can find Nina Kraviz, Raresh, Sonja Moonear, Altitude and Vera on Friday, and on Saturday Legowelt will bring us his incredible live act, alongside DJ sets from Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi, Fumiya Tanaka and tINI, just to name a few. With over 60 acts on the bill there´s an eclectic mix of global heavyweights and breakout Portuguese artists. Lisboa Electronic Musiculture is a driving force in the city, it´s goal to amplify the culture of electronic music. It’s also a meeting point for key players to learn from each other and network, attend workshops, conferences and check out the marketplace. Full festival tickets are available from €80, more info :http://bit.ly/2DDAuNC WEDNESDAY 4TH APRIL / THURSDAY 5TH APRIL Proceedings start on April 4th with an industry focused day, comprised of conferences and workshops at Ministerium Club. On the April 5th revered label, Werk Discs, descends on Lisbon, bringing us Actress’ jaw dropping AV performance, a wild ride though electro with Hamburg’s finest Helena Hauff, plus two unmissable DJ sets from London label Trelik’s Baby Ford and Alex Celler. The first night of music also sees Rawax & Shift imprint pushing genre defying sounds. Robin Ordell and Lamache shine a light on the much loved French imprint Discobar, which is as much about building a community as it is about fresh pressings. FRIDAY 6th APRIL The weekender kicks off on Friday the 6th at LX Factory, with crazy line up. Portuguese vinyl-only label Assemble Music, which has an impressive catalogue and majors in deeper than deep grooves, invites the mighty minimal kingpin Raresh to play alongside Altitude (live) and native spinner, Joao Maria. Also joining will be Nina Kraviz’s трип, with Deniro backing up the lead lady lady of techno, demonstrating трип’s close knit label ethos and flexing it's boundary pushing, tripped-out sound. From Frankfurt, Manuel Schatz and Phil Evan will be representing Gosu, a label that came to life as a record store, giving way to it’s self-titled imprint. Hayes Collective, a recently formed collective which includes some of Portugal´s most promising techno talent will showcase its dark, hard hitting, experimental reality on Friday, with VIL & Temudo, and a live act from -2 (menosdois). Melliflow Records brings a taste of Berlin’s minimal movement to Lisbon, with curators Vera and Alexandra flexing the spaced out sounds that continue to inspire us. Low Money Music Love’s Alexander Einetter and Diogo Lacerda, a family affair with friendship at its core, push sounds old and new, while Ministerium’s own brand new imprint presents Sonja Moonear, Onirik and Berllioz & Zoy (live). Joining forces for the occasion, Stereociti live, Ze Salvador, Jorge Caiado push the sounds of Groovement and Carpet & Snares. Flying the flag for the local scene, with an ear for fresh talent, Piston Recording will be represented by Rogério Martins, Johan and Ritz, while Silvestre and Renato’s creative freedom comes to life with the Padre Himalaya Showcase. Soul searchers Hélio + Diogo + Tiago express their energy through Pandilla LTD, also not to be missed. SATURDAY 7TH APRIL Moving on to Saturday, much more can be expected. Long-running techno label with an acclaimed artist roster and a penchant for electro, Legowelt live and founder Serge play testament to the impressiveClone Records output. 18 years strong, Flow Records has long been a main player, placing Portuguese electronic music on the map with spinners like Cardia, Kokeshi and Berberan. The ever iconic tINI brings her new label, PART OF THE GANG, to the limelight with Topper backing her up. Bloop and Half Baked join forces to bring London’s minimal love to Lisbon with Fumiya Tanaka, Greg Brockmann, Magazino, Kaesar, Cruz. On Saturday you'll also find techno in its purest form with Pole Group’s, Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi and Tensal. Multidisciplinary imprint Slow Life purveys deeper sounds with S. Moreira (Live), Laurine and DJ Tree. All the while, Sensual Records will have Michael Melchner and Benjamin Stager dish up some heady, body music. Expect dance floor bliss served up in 12”s from The White Man & The Arab, the collaborative powerhouse created by Ben Micklewright (Fear Of Flying / Underground Quality fame) and Souhail Zaatari (Phonica Records). There’s more fromInterzona13 with Stellar Om Source (Live), Luz Retina, to Helena Records’ Module Werk and Gonçalo, and last but not least, Frankfurt´s artist collective turned vinyl imprint Traffic Records, with Patrick Klein and Martyné. Beyond DJ sets, live sets and performances, Lisboa Electronica also hosts educational and industry focused activations, stepping up again to make Lisbon a meeting place for industry heads from all over the world. With creation and collaboration leading the way, the festival creates links between artists, local heads and behind the scenes industry players, on a global level.
