Lerr – Violins of Heaven [Soundteller Records]

Deersky's Soundteller Records welcomes Lerr to the label for his debut EP 'Violins of Heaven'. Hailing from Montenegro, Lerr has enjoyed a rapid rise though the progressive house underground with releases on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Asymmetric Recordings, Balance Music, Balkan Connection, RYNTH and Sound Avenue. Now debuting on Poland's finest, Lerr presents a new two track artist showcase.

Known for both his deeper and progressive minded productions, the lead track 'Violins of Heaven' gives you the best of both worlds in a way. It's progressive minded framework is warm and full of great character, while the musicality stretches the scope of the track much further. Coming from a positive state of mind, charming motifs marry luminous tones and swirling atmospherics over top of the key changing groove, before a heavenly break advances the emotional narrative closer to the heavens.

The companion piece ‘Centauri’ follows suit with energetic pulses and astral arps. Remarkably smooth and incredibly meditative, it’s rhythmic flair and otherworldly design immediately sucks you in. Icy pads make for a hopeful break, adding just a touch of tension as a smooth rush ushers in a buzzing finale. It caps off two stunning tracks from Lerr who has certainly made his Soundteller debut in fine style. Highly recommended.
