LADISLAØ – Orquidea [Dopamine White]

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes LADISLAØ to the label for his debut EP. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist made his name as a DJ playing at some of the country's trendiest clubs such as VOX, Palermo and Niceto. Having made his debut as a producer in 2019, LADISLAØ has quickly compiled a discography highlighted by releases on 3rd Avenue, BCSA, Beatfreak and Mango Alley. Now making his much-anticipated debut on Dopamine White, LADISLAØ presents his 'Orquidea' EP.

Beginning with the title selection LADISLAØ explores the deeper, more emotive side of his studio repertoire. Tough yet warm, a well contoured groove sets the piece in motion as striking percussion adds swing to the framework. Soft swells and glowing pads converge for heartfelt moments as the first act unfolds, before a haunting arp transfers energy into the main break. Tantalizingly tranquil, the centerpiece flushes your emotional receptors, as muted piano stabs and effervescent effects provide a bridge into a poignant finale.

The companion piece 'Orange' follows with a darker and equally enticing narrative. Once again backed by a bulbous foundation, it's a maze of trippy arps and clattering percussion which slowly saturate your senses. Haunting overlays sweep across the framework, adding drama with each successive loop, while timely effects highlight a cavernous break before eventually sparking a powerful finale. It rounds out a stunning two track offering from LADISLAØ, who makes his Dopamine White debut a most memorable one.
