Eagles & Butterflies readies the third instalment in his Art Imitating Life label series. Boldly detuned and expertly defined, The Last Dance showcases trademark E&B arpeggio sequences, backed with tumbling, vintage drum machines and percussion. The flip sees two reinterpretations of the title track, where nineties broken-beat is accompanied by a beatless, sunrise edit. Los Angeles based artist continues to make confident paces forward. The Last Dance is released via Eagles & Butterflies own imprint, Art Imitating Life, and out since January 19th. Originaly featured on innervision facebook fangroup for melodic diggers: Facebook and MelodicDiggers Do you ever look in Innervisions fangroup when you’re bored?  Yeah, I do. But I am not sure if this is not like raiding a fridge at 4am and then regretting it. How many shirts do you have? Between 50 and 70, but that’s just numbers. Shirts are seasonal objects. So they come and go. I only keep what I consider the most iconic pieces. What is your vision of the techno music scene in 10 years? Honestly, I refuse to think about the future. That would be nostalgia in reverse, taking me away from the shifts happening not yearly, not daily, but hourly nowadays. I try and enjoy what is around me, graspable, as long as it's there. Culture disappeared forever through uniformity and whitewashing. We should definitely not crave for knowing the future or its protagonists, but push for our shifts today. What makes you special, or at least, different than the other top DJ

Mind Against returns to Afterlife with Days Gone EP

By ProgressiveAstronaut

‘Days Gone’ is the highly-anticipated return of core Afterlife act and fans favourite, Mind Against. A year after their ‘Solaris’ EP (AL002), the duo of Alex and Federico Fognini show once again why their moving, supremely-produced tracks are held in such esteem. The title track takes you to another dimension, with a synth line spiralling into cosmic space and drums beating into oblivion. ‘Cloud Nine’, a classy, comparatively-understated cut for the early hours brings the energy back down. Stepping up to remix ‘Cloud Nine’ is Dystopian talent Alex.Do, who strips the sound back and distills the original’s graceful flourishes, completing a high-quality chapter in the Afterlife story. https://soundcloud.com/afterlifeofc/al010-mind-against-days-gone Tracklist: 01. Mind Against - Days Gone 02. Mind Against - Cloud Nine 03. Mind Against - Cloud Nine (Alex.Do Remix) Afterlife will release Days Gone on January 19, 2018.
