The latest edition of our Elements podcast series welcomes Innacircle. Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Noa Kreimeyer and Lucas Völkel make up the Innacircle production duo. Having previously enjoyed success under their solo alias’ of Noa & Samoan, the stars aligned for the duo to meet and begin collaborating a year ago. Having also created the Geistzeit imprint as an outlet for the freshest sounds in melodic techno, Innacircle have spent the winter months heads down in the studio working on their live show and debut EP, which is set for release in June. From the depths of the Brazilian electronic music scene – specifically São Paulo – emerges a frank and authentic artist. The integrity and certainty when throwing down Victor Ruiz beats makes it easy to know that he’s landed in a DJ booth. They say that his techno sound has finally found it’s more seductive side. “From Brazil with love” read the title of that interview where he caught the attention with his qualities always supporting super fresh sounds, with fewer grooves. From then on he has been compared to artists like Maceo Plex. Over time Victor Ruiz has grown, not only his production skills but also in his sets, a breath of fresh air to the listener. When he first stepped into a recording studio his first steps were to reinterpret his roots in a more contemporary way. A futuristic tone but at the same time racial, exciting and danceable. Never one to stick to a particular stylistic blueprint, Navar effortlessly melds elements of minimal, techno, progressive and electronica. He has continually impressed since a debut on Klopfgeist imprint in 2010, building a highly impressive discography of productions for Lost & Found, microCastle, Body Condition, Moral Fiber and Proton. His music routinely earns the praise of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sasha, Nick Warren, Laurent Garnier, Henry Saiz, Lee Van Dowski, Rodriguez Jr, Maceo Plex, Jeremy Olander, Sasse, Oliver Schories and a host of other respected industry figures. After being interested in all sorts of music since a very young age, Ilija Djokovic soon realized that electronic music was where his heart is truly at. Ilija started DJing back in 2010 and from that time to his current position as one of the rising individuals on Balkan techno scene, he continued to challenge and innovate his work. Renowned as one of his country’s most respected purveyors of quality-fuelled house and techno, Alexander Malyutin aka Spieltape, is a man on the rise. A native of Arkhangelsk, Russia, he started his career back in 2005, with his early tracks perking the ears of none other than owners of Global Underground, who immediately snapped him up for their scene-shaping label. The intervening years have proved just as fruitful, as Spieltape has turned in cuts for the likes of Sasse’s Moodmusic, Kruse & Nuernberg’s Save Room, Acumen’s Time Has Changed, Solee’s Parquet Recordings as well as the mighty Get Physical Music. Added to all this is the not-so-small matter of Alexander’s very own label, Highway Records, which he co-runs with compatriot, Mike Spirit.
