Hi Rafael, thanks for talking to us today. How has your start to the year been so far and please tell us something interesting about your day today? Hello guys! Thanks for having me here :) 2024 started with many meetings to plan the whole year in the best way because I have many important projects coming. And today I just started my remix for Vintage Culture new album :) Looking back on 2023 what gigs of yours have stood out and why? In 2023, I played more than 100 shows all over the world and I can’t just keep only one in mind but phonix klein in Istanbul is always a good idea or Mexico / Argentina / Brazil and everytimes when I’m playing in soho garden in dubai :) What’s a piece of music from 2023 that had the biggest impact on you, and what makes it outstanding for you? For me, My Religion from Aladag was the most beautiful track that I heard last year. Super emotional and this piece of art really touched my heart, even more with the story behind. But to

Spanish artist Luke Garcia has enjoyed measurable success across his decade-long career. The Madrid resident has been praised for his borderless approach to production, in turn landing standout projects for Diynamic, Innervisions, Sum Over Histories and TAU. As occasional studio partners since the beginning of 2023, Colossio and Luke made their collaborative debut via Engrave Ltd with ‘Let Go’, a release which would precede a recent contribution to Innervisions ‘Secret Weapons’ Part 16. Now, continuing to build on their creative partnership, Colossio and Luke end the year with their microCastle debut ‘Amen / Ryen’. Progressive Astronaut caught up with Luke to learn more about the release of 'Amen / Ryen', his background, nightlife in Spain, creative process, DJing, and more. Enjoy. Hi Luke, thanks for talking to us today. How are you and what was the last piece of music you listened to? Hi guys! Thank you for inviting me to your channel and doing this interview!

Hi David, thanks for sitting with us today! What is your current mood and what was the last piece of music you listened to? Hello Progressive Astronaut, it's truly delightful to be here with you. I'm currently in high spirits. As for your inquiry, I recently had the privilege of previewing an unreleased track by Th;en. He shared with me his remix for Adam Sellouk & Like Mike, and I must say, I was completely captivated. I couldn't resist listening to it three times consecutively – it's an absolute banger. Fans can definitely anticipate its official release in the coming year! How has your post-summer been so far? Are there any gigs which have stood out for you? Radikon just had a showcase in Brussels I think? How did that turn out? While I'm not particularly fond of the end of summer since I adore the sun and everything that accompanies it, overall, the recent times have been quite positive. I've been dedicating more time to my music, engaging in some rewarding shows su

Hello Henry, thanks for joining us. How are you doing today and what was the last piece of music you listened to? Hello! I'm doing great, thank you! The music I'm currently listening to while we talk is a Japanese 80s City Pop/Jazz Fusion playlist. I love 80s and 90s Jazz... How has 2023 been for you so far? What moments have made an impact on you? And what are your plans for the coming week? I think 2023 has been a year of global impacts, and honestly, I'm fed up. The world is in a really chaotic and violent state, but there have also been positive impacts, and that's what I want to focus on. My plans for this week include starting the promotional tour for my new compilation for the Balance series, beginning in Belgrade and moving on to Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand next week. Take us through a day in your life, from a possible morning routine through to your production work and more, please. A typical workday for me would be something like this: I usually wake up aro

credits: Eva K. Salvi Hi Henri, thanks for talking to us today. How are you and what was the last piece of music you listened to? I’m good. Currently listening to the last Royksopp album and of course my upcoming VA as have so much promo around that coming up. How was your summer and what gigs have stood out for you these last few months? Summer has been really busy, a mix of festivals and clubs. DJing festivals is always unique, you get random encounters, make new fans who come across your stage because they happen to be walking by, and discover other artists yourself which is especially nice when it’s unexpected. I loved playing this festival in Germany called Bucht der TrĂ€ume, got to hang out with Just Lauren who played after me, just lovely people and really enjoyed my set. Also, playing the Wild Corner at HĂŻ in Ibiza was really special. It’s so small and intimate and the crowd there goes wild just like it promises to. Also an extra bonus is that you’re about

Hi Samuel, thanks for talking to us today. What is your current mood and what was the last piece of music you listened to? I just came back from my show in Washington DC, which was again a fantastic event and I’m always looking forward to spend time there. After long flights, I’m often a little exhausted, so I’m trying to take some days off to decompress. During my long flights i’m listening a lot of current ambient music and my last discover was the artist Earth Trax. How has your summer been so far and what gigs have stood out for you these last few months? The first half year was very intense with a lot of long distant travels to every side of the world, and so was my summer. Most of my current tour steps are very good, and some highlights have been my shows for LooLoo Mexico, Fluffy Clouds LA, Klein Phoenix Istanbul, La Feria Chile, Chocolate Festival Lausanne, Cairo Jazzclub, Afrika Club Buenos Aires, Sonorama Medellin. Take us through a typical day when youâ

SKALA's mission is for people to emotionally open up, so they leave feeling emotionally escalated, or what she likes to call it “eSKALAtion”. The passionate producer from Berlin has been making music since she was a child and combines her background in piano music with her current Melodic Techno productions. Her tracks sound like a perfect symbiosis of heavy bass lines and airy melodies. In 2023 she also started her own label ‚Amaeo’ together with her partner Theologos. Theologos, based in Berlin, started his DJ career at the early age of 17 inspired by the House classics of the early 2000s. Over the years his sound developed towards Indie Dance and Melodic Techno and his Greek influenced grooves won’t let anyone stand still on the dance floor. Hi Guys, thanks for sitting with us today! What is your current mood and what was the last piece of music you listened to? Theologos: While I’m sitting in the studio writing the answers, I'm listening to a playlist on S

Based in Milan, Italian artist Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. Comparable to the path of his contemporaries, Daniel has found a way to create a personal universe by exploring electronic sounds, and ultimately finding his own place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. Fully formed within the creative confines of his Milan studio, Ivory's third microCastle project 'Persona', follows on from 2021's 'Light Through Water', a seven-track affair which continued Daniel's mission to create bold synthesizer symphonies from the tools of the club. As an evolution in his sound, the release was significantly more stripped-down and dancefloor-friendly than his label debut 'No Scale Can Resize You' yet continued to demonstrate and build on the Italian's penchant for sophisticated sound design and memorable musical themes. Moving forward, 2022 proved to be a monumental year for Ivory, with the release of hi

Hi Emi, thanks for joining us. What is your current mood and what was the last piece of music you listened to? Hello! First of all, thank you very much for the invitation :) Currently I am very happy for the shows I had over the weekend in Mar del Plata and Cordoba since both turned out very good! A track that I really liked is 'Chapinero' by Fernando Olaya from Colombia, which I just selected for my monthly Spotify playlist with my favorite tracks. How was the summer season in Argentina and what are your plans for the coming week? My summer in Argentina started with my first show 'All Night Long' at Club AMK. A night to remember where I played music for 7 hours which you can see on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yr-o0VNwTvE). It was a beautiful experience and this year we will definitely repeat it. Then in February, I was on tour performing mainly in cities in Mexico, such as Mexico City, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Leon Guanajuato For the next few weeks I

Hi guys, thanks for joining us. What is your current mood? Hey guys, thanks for the interview, happy to have a little chat here! We're feeling great, excited about the new release. How did growing up in france influence your music taste and direction? Or did it at all? Roman: i did not grow up in france actually, i grew up in chile / mexico / belgium and spain until i was 18. I think it affected my degree of curiosity and openness, as i've been used to discovering new cultures and moving a lot from a super young age. I think it reflects on my music on a certain level, drawing inspirations from many different genres. Benjamin: i didnt grow up in a big city, so at the time, the only place where you could find alternative music were free parties and rave parties. This is where it all started for me, it probably left a print on my music and my choices. If you are not djing or socializing at clubs, where do we find you? And doing what? We are both coming from a strong musical b
