Recently spotted on the label’s monolithic ‘15 YRS Systematic’ V/A collection last summer with ‘Matar’ and mixing up the 11th edition of the label’s ‘My Love Is Systematic’ late 2018, Berlin’s Braemer returns with this deliciously atmospheric triplet of late night treats. ‘All I Know’ lights the fire. A swooping slab of marching cosmic house laced with hazy, desert-bound vocals, it’s Braemer at his most stately yet introspective. It’s followed by the EP title track ‘Megan’, a tense story of a song that’s sprung with tightly coiled mystique that unfolds to tell a different chapter at every twist and turn. Arpeggios, god-tier drum cracks and a deep driving groove, whoever Sascha’s Megan is, she’s had the strongest of impressions on him; this is immense. Finally ‘FOU’ brings us to an astounding finale. Whirling, chugging otherworldly groovery; it’s the perfect conduit from house to techno, earth to the stars, head to the dancing feet.
