Following the critically acclaimed launch of their new label LSF21+ just a few weeks ago, German brothers Santé & Re.You now look to expand on the success of their inaugural release Road To Nowhere as they announce a three-part remix package of epic proportions. Due for release on Thursday, November 18, the Road To Nowhere Remix EP sees Santé & Re.You flex their A&R muscles for the first time on the burgeoning young imprint, as they enlist Ae:ther, Avidus and Musumeci to put their own unique spins on the debut release.

Having pursued hugely successful solo careers and respective individual projects for over a decade, Road to Nowhere is Santé & Re.You's first shared collaborative production in more than eleven years, and marks the first release to be taken from their upcoming debut album, expected in early 2022.

Hi guys, wishing you a very warm welcome to Progressive Astronaut. How are you today?

We're good, we just sent out our second EP of our brand-new label LSF21+. A remix EP by Avidus, Ae:ther and Musumeci.

How has the last eighteen months been for you, given everything that's been going on in the world?

Honestly it was quite strange but we enjoyed it somehow, Marius has a 2 year old son, so spending a lot of time with the family was a positive side effect of not traveling. Also we started our project, worked on two LPs and founded our label LSF21+ with our longterm friend and Jackmode booked Daniel Duit.

Do you feel like life is finally beginning to return to normal?

Still not normal but we're on a good way. We've heard the exciting news that you're launching a new label this month.

Can you explain to our readers what this new venture is all about?

After 12 years of working separately, we are really excited about the fact that we founded a label together. The whole idea started while we were in lockdown. Suddenly with no traveling there was a lot of time. It was a natural process. We talked a lot about the future and somehow we created the idea for LSF21+.

And you have a new album coming out next year? What can you tell us about that?

The album is the notion of fun and simply enjoying the music making process. This is a transitional point for us, expanding our sonic palette and giving us the motivation to push beyond our limits. The album Road to Sanrey contains 12 tracks, with several vocalists featured. Electronic music aimed at the dance floor, but also perfect for the radio we would say.

Is LSF21+ mainly a platform for your own releases, or have you got plans to sign other artists over the coming months?

In the beginning the focus lies on our own releases but we definitely have plans for other artists. We already spoke to new potential LSF21+ artists.

What are you hopes for the label over the next 5 years?

We see everything with no pressure and just see what happens.

What's it like working together as siblings? Is it an easy dynamic or do you often have a difference of opinion?

Actually it's an easy dynamic. We can rely on each other. We have many tastes and characteristics in common including, of course, our deep love for electronic music. It was important for us to find our own individual sound, which now feeds back into the album project. We are just enjoying the process of making music together. Being on tour on your own for so long and with this long break due to covid we said we would like to go back touring together. It feels just so good to share these moments with someone and it makes even more sense to share it with your brother.

Talk us through your creative process. How do you divide your roles in the studio when you live in different counties?

Everything is working for us via dropbox. Most of the time Philipp is coming up with a melody and Marius adds the drums, bass and percussion. Sometimes it's the other way around. Our combined experience and united creativity is something we won't miss again.

What else do you have coming up between now and the end of the year that you'd like to discuss?

We focus on our label LSF21+ and decided to release three EPs before the album. Furthermore we have remixes of every EP. Right now we have Avidus, Ae:ther, Musumeci, Steven Weston, Roy Rosenfeld and Frieder Nagel on board. Pretty exciting.

Thanks very much for your time and we look forward to seeing you on a dance floor very soon!

Thank you!
