Paulo Carignano – Behind the Clock [AMITABHA]

Dynacom and Bodai’s AMITABHA imprint returns, welcoming Paulo Carignano with his debut single 'Behind the Clock'. Hailing from Sante Fe, Rosario, the Argentinean artist is presenting his first ever track and does it in style alongside a remix from fellow countryman Juan Sapia.

With the ethos of the label sitting comfortably between deep and progressive house, Paulo seems to be a perfect fit with 'Behind the Clock'. It's mid tempo groove is spacious and chunky, laying the perfect foundation for spacey arps and a smooth harmonic resonance. The feel good factor is high and the subtle build throughout is achieved with timely modulation and shifts in emotional tension. A lovely debut track from Paulo.

The lone interpretation is provided by Juan Sapia who also makes his label debut. Fresh off releases for 3rd Avenue, Dreamers and Michael A's Genesis Music, the Buenos Aires resident puts more of a pure progressive twist on the track with a fuller groove and effervescent melodic complement. The vibe from the original translates wonderfully and with a hugely emotive break it's perfect for a magical dance floor moment. A great remix from Juan which rounds out another excellent release for Dynacom and Bodai’s AMITABHA imprint. Highly recommended.
