Clubsonica Records celebrates its 50th release with a brand new single from label boss Juan Pablo Torrez. The Colombian artist has grown immensely both as a producer and DJ this past year. A recent tour of Hungary coupled with continued support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have made Juan one of 2018's most celebrated progressive house artists. Congruently Clubsonica has enjoyed similar success this year, with a long list of progressive icons such as Sasha, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Cid Inc. becoming routine supporters of the label. It seems only fitting that Juan would commemorate Clubsonica's 50th release with his latest and most sought after production 'Blue Patience'. Alongside the already much hyped original is an all-star remixer cast of Jamie Stevens and Andre Sobota.

Beginning with the original mix it's immediately apparent that Juan's affinity for crafting pure progressive grooves has only gotten stronger. Commanding kicks and afro inspired drums set the piece in motion, as rolling rhythms and phasing atmospherics slowly surround the framework. Energetic and striking in equal measure, the first acts builds momentum with a peak time fervor. Astral arps fade to prominence as vocal edits and smooth harmonics shift energy further into the subconscious, ultimately leading to the main break. Tranquil in design, it's a heartfelt centrepiece as layers of synths advance the storyboard, building a subtle tension before cascading tones release the groove for a fiery finale.

The first interpretation of 'Blue Patience' is provided by Jamie Stevens who makes his Clubsonica debut here. The Australian producer has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of his country's most talented and sought after artists he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary electronic music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian live act, he's left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric (London), Pacha (Buenos Aires), Womb (Tokyo) and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. More recently Jamie's discography has been highlighted by releases on the industry's most cutting edge imprints, such as All Day I Dream, Lost and Found, microCastle and Replug. Now making his much anticipated Clubsonica debut, Jamie delivers a stunning rendition of 'Blue Patience'. Maintaining the peak time sensibility of Juan's original, Jamie reprocesses the parts into a wondrous free form journey. Set against a bank of meditative rhythms, the narrative evolves subtly as astral effects, vocal overlays and timely drum fills steal the air, eventually stripping down into a timely second act. Spacey and dramatic, energy shifts and tension rises, before a classy drop ignites a finale of pulsating rhythms and cosmic designs.

The release concludes with Andre Sobota returning to the label following his 'Missing Line' single from June of this year. Coming from considerable acclaim, the Brazilian artist rose to the forefront of electronic music in 2012 when his remix of Coldplay and Rihanna's 'Princess Of China' was picked up and played by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. Following that Andre's two tracks 'Voyager' and 'Found' were signed by Eric Prydz for release on his Pryda Friends label and with that the Brazilian had earned a place in the progressive house elite. Subsequent releases on Anjunadeep and microCastle furthered Andre's place amongst the underground's trendiest acts. Now five years on and the Brazilian continues to be one of the most steadfast melodic craftsman with his latest work finding a home on Proton Music. Now making a welcome return to Clubsonica, Andre rounds the release out with a massive rendition of 'Blue Patience'. Its swollen low end carries incredible drive and momentous pulse, while a cluster of fuzzy stabs adds character and emotion, most notably during a buzzing, tastefully euphoric break which ultimately highlights the piece. It caps off a monumental outing for Clubsonica Records, who celebrate their 50th release with three of progressive music's most highly regarded talents.
