LEYZEN just landed on earth and its only way of comunication is through vibrational waves. It introduces itself to the world through music. 'ArtGaia' is its way of communicating its love for dancing. How two human beings, whithout knowing each other, can connect throught the movements of their bodies to the rhytm of the music? LEYZEN is that connection.

Hello LEYZEN, thanks for joining us. What is your current mood and what was the last piece of music you listened to?

Hello my friends from the planet Earth. 'Progressive Astronaut'? I couldn't think of a better partner to interview me. A space traveler, just like me. About my current mood... Let's say I am curious. Curious to see which questions are you going to ask to an extraterrestrial being like me.

According to your bio you have just landed on earth; whereabouts were you beforehand? And how did it differ from our planet?

You terrestrial guys are a very peculiar species, always asking where everybody comes from. Is that so important...? (sight). I'm not from a planet. I come from a place where there's not a physical aspect attached, it only exists just a musical but immaterial aspect from where our world begins and ends. Easy, right? We communicate ourselves through our own vibrational waves, without words... Just music. That's why you have to excuse me for my accent. Sorry about that. I'm working on it.

How have you been enjoying our planet so far? And how does electronic music differ here?

I landed a few thousand of years ago... It's a beautiful planet but with a very lazy population. Your planet is dying, you know is dying but you are not solving it. The problem comes from your tridimensional reality and your lack of consciousness. But I'm here to show you a new reality and open your minds. That's why I'm using in my music some healthy frequencies that will expand the human consciousness to a whole different level and a new vibration in a perfect balance with the cosmos.

Electronic music doesn't exist where I come from. It's just music. If you want to add the word 'electronic' because you introduced a software to the production process... OK. But I think that nowadays all your music is subjected to softwares... Isn't it?

What made you want to come to Earth?

I came to the Earth planet when it started to emit its primitive sounds. This was thousands of years ago. I started hearing to some rare vibrations in space. Short sound waves travelling throughout space and time, very short waves, like 'beats'... but with no melody. These vibrations were so different to what I experienced before... Percussion but without melody? I loved it! I end up landing in a piece of land that you call: Africa, just a few thousands of years ago.

What are your plans for the coming week?

Psy Trance Rave on a secret mountain in Albania.

Tell us a bit about ‘ArtGaia’ which is a way of communicating your love for dancing.

How did you know that? You couldn't be more correct. This is my personal way of communicating my love for dancing. I didn't even know what dancing is. I learned it here. It's curious that what you call 'dancing' it's exactly how the universe works. The vibration of the atoms. Your scientists call it: 'String Theory'. Just one recommendation: Please, listen more to your scientist than to your politicians.

You have a new release out this week on Eklektisch. Tell us a bit about it and how it showcases your sound.

As I already explained, I come from a place where there's no rhythm, no 'beat', only melody. But I noticed that in your world everything is subjected to a percussion. Somehow looks like terrestrials need to dance to a rhythmic pattern and that's what I exactly did.

I am very thankful that a label like Eklektisch gave me the opportunity to show my language. Their ideals, their music or even their artworks match perfectly with what I am. Wait. What am I?

Walk us through the production process on one of the tracks, whichever you like.

I am always listening to all the music that your planet creates. I like to mix different sounds from different cultures. This is why you can hear in ArtGaia: african voices, classic pianos, german synths, tribal claps... Everything is music if you give it a meaning.

Being Progressive Astronaut’s we do get to travel around the galaxy on a semi regular basis, where would you suggest we go? And why?

I would recommend you galaxy NGC 6753. For me one of the most beautiful galaxies. It's only 150 milion light years from Earth. It actually have very good rating on IntergalacticalTripAdvisor.

Who from earth would you like to be abducted by aliens?

Sorry. What's an 'alien'?

What’s a book you’ve read or film you watched that has left an impact on you, and why?

I don't know how to read. About films, E.T. No doubt.

What was the last thing that deeply touched you?

I recently saw on a video how 10.000 human beings were in the same place for an exact same reason: music. They were all sharing the same passion for the same thing. And there was one single person, placed higher than the rest, showing to all those attendants the music he loved. And they all loved it as well! That same music! I think that's simply magic.

And of course... the film E.T.

Apart from music, what makes you happiest?

Outside earth I love quantum jumps throughout space time... Even travelling through wormholes... Is so much fun! Here on earth: Hot Dogs.

What does the remainder of 2021 hold for you? Anything you can share with us?

I will keep my journey on this planet for a while. Learning different cultures and mixing them up together in my music. I will be also releasing another single in November, this time in Mobilee Records.

So... How do you say it in your language... (thinks) Oh yes: Stay tuned!

LEYZEN - ArtGaia (incl. Super Flu Remix) will be released on September 17 via Eklektisch
