Erich Von Kollar – The Pine & the Moon [Stellar Fountain]

Erich Von Kollar returns to his Stellar Fountain imprint with a new single 'The Pine & the Moon'. Beloved for his releases via Balkan Connection, BCSA, MNL and SexOnWax, it is his Hungarian's home base of Stellar Fountain where the bulk of his music has come out. Now in a year that has featured just two remixes, Erich presents his first original production of 2020 alongside remixes from Hasith and Anar & Mika D.

Known for his groovy melodic sound, ‘The Pine & the Moon’ comes in as one of Erich’s best to date. Deep, pulsating and full of smooth hypnotic qualities, it’s a creation that captivates from the start. Striking stabs and cosmic effects blanket a full, free flowing foundation. Ethereal phrases then drift over the framework, before melting down into a short break which resets the groove on wards to an astral finale.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation is Hasith. The Sri Lankan artist and Serenedeep label boss has been one of his countries rising progressive music talents. Having made his Stellar Fountain debut in July of 2019, the Colombo native returned in January for a second remix along with 2020 releases for Lump Records, Flemcy Music and onedotsixtwo. Now delivering his third remix for the label, Hasith puts a pure progressive twist on 'The Pine & the Moon'. The groove gets reworked into something a bit more fluid and muscular, while a complement of rippling rhythms and hopeful harmonics converge for a wall of sound and colour. A striking certrepiece highlights the journey with broken beats and trippy effects trails, leading perfectly to a commanding drop and ominous final movement.

Rounding out the release and also returning to the label is Anar & Mika D. Hailing from Mongolia and Hungary respectively, the creative duo first appeared on Stellar Fountain in 2018 with their 'Choices We Make' single. Finding a comfortable home on the Hungarian imprint the duo has since contributed two remixes across 2018 and 2019. Now returning for a fourth time, Anar & Mika D cap the release off with a strong rendition of 'The Pine & the Moon'. Anchored by beefy beats and a pulsating groove it’s got immediate rhythmic appeal. Flickering arps, sweeping effects and a variety of percussive details make for a sensory saturating first act, before haunting overlays segue into an emotive drop and chugging finale. Definitely one to put your dance floor in a trance, it concludes what is another great offering for Stellar Fountain. Highly recommended.
