Released just last the month the track was a staple in Beatport’s progressive house charts, peaking at #13. Now we see the label inviting the longstanding Framewerk duo to reinvent the track over two interpretations. Hailing from the UK, Darren James & Alec Milliner make up the Framewerk production duo. Long time progressive house fans may remember Darren and Alec as Manhattan who released more than a few gems from 1999-2003, primarily through their Capital Heaven imprint. They’ve resurfaced with great success over the last few years, most recently remixing Albion’s classic ‘Air’ with great results. Here they provide two different and equally excellent interpretations of ‘The Fall’. The ‘Balearic’ version clocks in a 109 BPM and is a gorgeous six minute journey through hypnotic rhythms and meditative synths, smoothly building tension before breaking down and reconvening amidst a haze of sonics. The main mix aims squarely at the dance floor, taking the original further into peak time territory with a tough, driving groove and grandiose feel. It’s unabashedly epic with trancey synth lines blanketing the groove at timely moments before trailing off as waves of percussion and astral effects up the intensity. Two incredible interpretations from Framewerk who are perhaps one of the progressive genres most talented duos at the moment. A lovely release for Afterglow who are back in the progressive house spotlight once again.
